Trump Claims FBI Raided Mar-a-Lago Looking for Clinton Emails
Former President Donald Trump said on Thursday that he believes the FBI and Department of Justice raided his Mar-a-Lago residence to look for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's emails.
During an interview with the Wendy Bell radio show, Trump spoke about the recent raid at his Florida residence and said, "I think they were looking for Hillary Clinton's emails."
Trump continued, "I think they thought, and who knows, boxes full of stuff...I think they thought...there was something to do with the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax. They were afraid that things were in there, part of their scam material because that's what they are, they're scammers."
Obama's birth certificate is in there too.
With Hunters laptop,
People are going to prison and became lifelong felons because of him, for the insurrection. A couple people have been arrested for threatening the FBI on his "social network" and some idiot went to the FBI with a nail gun because of what he said. And they still support him.
They're 100% brainwashed by this time. So many are maintaining their innocence, and getting longer sentences. It's terrible, they're absolutely that dumb and literally reprogrammed. It's both sad and terrifying.
Trump Team Reverses Course, Tries to Keep Mar-a-Lago Document List Secret
Lawyers for former President Donald Trump reversed course Thursday, opposing the unsealing of a more detailed list of the items seized during the FBI's Mar-a-Lago search.
In its court filing this week, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said it would be OK with the court releasing its more comprehensive list detailing exactly what was found during the August 8 raid by federal investigators. However, Trump's team objected to the document being unsealed, according to former Prosecutor Andrew Weissmann.
Thursday's hearing marked the first time Trump's lawyers appeared in court for a proceeding related to the Mar-a-Lago search. While the hearing was not open to the public, several reporters were present in the Florida courtroom.
Trumps lawyers asked for the list of items to be unsealed because they thought the DoJ would object so they could play the victim card.
The judge indicated she was inclined to grant the request and the DoJ said, "We're fine with that," with a big grin on their faces. At which time Trump's crack legal team decided to fold.
Oh, it's even funnier.
- I turned them in.
- The FBI planted those.
- The planted evidence was declassified.
- The planted, declassified evidence needs to be reviewed by a special master
The special master needs Top Secret clearance to view the planted, declassified evidence.
Now it’s the FBI was looking for Hillary’s emails.
US District Judge Aileen Cannon heard arguments Thursday related to former President Donald Trump's request that a special master be appointed to sift through and filter out any materials seized in the Mar-a-Lago search that could be privileged.
I love how this attempted delay tactic does nothing but add billable hours that 45 won't pay for.
The DOJ provided an airtight argument with receipts and Trump's team responded with no coherent argument. During the hearing today, Team trump failed to present a coherent argument, so even this Judge, who was appointed by Trump and specifically chosen by Trump to hear this case could not make a bench ruling with the arguments at hand and retain any shred of credibility.
I suspect the Judge will now huddle with her Federalist Society buddies to try to find a loophole in Nixon vs. USA and apply it in this case. The bigger problem is the "how does one put the toothpaste back in the tube" problem. A ruling made in a specific way could put the entire investigation on hold until resolved.
