Now Iran knows it can play that card successfully whenever it wants and that accomplishes a lot of the same things as a nuclear weapon would in terms of putting off anyone who might want to militarily force a regime change. Any future US president will weigh the option of tolerating some level of IRGC bullshit versus gambling the loss of their seat of power because the voters hate what happens next.

During last fall’s government shutdown, the Trump administration started cutting energy grants to states, but the only states that were seriously affected were ones Donald Trump lost in the 2024 election.

We’re talking about a White House that admits it withholds federal resources from states based on local voters casting ballots in ways the president doesn’t like. Not to put too fine a point on this, but that sounds an awful lot like an impeachable offense. It’s a fundamental corruption of how federal tax dollars are allocated.

So, not the presidential administration for the ENTIRE United States. Got it. We’ll just have to deal with this domestic enemy, best we can.

Reminder that the Secretary of Energy stood in front of Congress last month and testified that "no decisions were made on politics" regarding the grant cancellations. Now his department tells a judge that yep they did just that.

It shouldn't even matter because it shouldn't be a partisan issue, but it's crazy that this admin never seems to understand or care that "blue" states like California can still have more Republican voters than most "red" states.

The Trump administration knows that the Republican voters in California will blame the Democrat voters in California for the cancellation of the grants to California. The Heritage Foundation wants to anger the Republican voters in the hopes that they will then be more willing to accept the murder of American citizens who don't support the Trump Administration.

This is an excellent justification for impeachment, possibly the best justification. It would bring this Administration's illegality into the spotlight while also forcing Republicans to make a decision: Either impeach/convict for these obviously partisan actions, or indirectly approve a Democratic Administration in performing the same stunts

The Diarrhea Lettuce Company Has Been Linked to Forced Labor

Taylor Farms, the agricultural company widely believed responsible for a cyclospora parasite outbreak currently spreading through shredded lettuce in US grocery stores and fast food outlets, has also been linked to modern-day forced prison labor in Arizona, according to resurfaced 2023 reporting from Prison Legal News. The publication found that Taylor Farms contracted labor from the Arizona Department of Correction, Rehabilitation, and Reentry for just $4.75 an hour, far below federal minimum wage, though the incarcerated workers themselves were reportedly paid only up to $1.50 an hour, with the state’s for-profit arm, Arizona Correctional Industries, pocketing the difference by selling prisoner labor-hours to private companies.

Taylor Farms is far from alone in this arrangement, as other companies including Hickman’s Egg Farms, NatureSweet, and Televerde have similarly contracted incarcerated labor through the same state program.

Most troubling, Prison Legal News found that at least 26 prisoners employed by these companies had previously been detained by ICE, meaning their labor arrangement would have been illegal outside of incarceration, since their status as prisoners was the only thing that legally permitted the low-wage work. Arizona’s DCRR told the publication it had hired out 15,700 “Mexican nationals” between 2008 and 2023 but could not say how many were undocumented immigrants, prompting American Immigration Lawyers Association director Ruben Reyes to say, “I’m venturing a guess that a large majority of the people who are labeled a Mexican national by [DCRR] are unauthorized to work here.”

The revelations tie back to a constitutional loophole in the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery “except as a punishment for crime,” a carve-out that has allowed prison labor to persist as a major industry, generating $11 billion worth of goods in 2022 alone. Taylor Farms did not respond to a request for comment on either the labor allegations or the ongoing cyclospora outbreak.

The exploitation angle here is particularly damning because it reveals a legal architecture specifically designed to profit off a workforce that has no real bargaining power or ability to walk away, workers who couldn’t legally be employed in these same roles if they weren’t incarcerated. Combined with the cyclospora outbreak, this story paints a picture of a supply chain built on cutting corners at every level, from underpaying and exploiting vulnerable labor to apparently inadequate food safety practices that are now sickening consumers nationwide.

• Reduces economic opportunities for working families by eliminating Youth and Adult Job Training programs under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, and cuts funding for the Job Corps in half.
• Kicks 30,000 teachers out of classrooms by cutting Title I grants by $2 billion, reducing the quality of education our children receive.
• Abandons college students and low-income workers trying to improve their lives through postsecondary education by increasing interest rates for 4 million college student borrowers, cutting funding for need-based financial aid, and eliminating job training programs.
• Decimates support for children in K-12 elementary schools by slashing funding for low-income students, eliminating funding for teacher training, and eliminating funding for community schools.
• Slashes research for maternal health, telehealth, and patient safety in hospitals and health clinics by eliminating funding for the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) and terminating nearly $1 billion from the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Trust Fund (PCORTF).

All conservative policies, no exceptions, are expressions that one group should be socially dominant over another group. The reason why it's only the conservatives trying to ban gay marriage and ban adults from taking hormones is because only conservatives actively want straight dominance over LGBT+ people. The reason why it's only conservatives trying to ban abortion is because only conservatives actively want men to dominate women.

So when a conservative sees Trump spending the money they say liberals can't spend, it legitimately makes them feel good, because they don't have real political beliefs, only immediate emotional reactions. Trump's spending on government renovations seems good to conservatives because it proves conservatives can dominate liberals.

Trump's spending on useless wars and handouts seems good to conservatives because it proves conservatives can dominate liberals.

And liberals' spending is inherently evil no matter what it's spent on, because liberals spending money is a reminder that the liberals are in charge, and there is nothing the liberals could ever do that would make the conservatives be okay with not being in charge.

Trump has previously promised Americans a “full and complete healthcare plan” within two weeks, which was in 2020, and never materialized.

If you give individuals a scapegoat like religion they can live their lives as aimless as they want and it's never their fault, it's God's will.

It's also not a coincidence that the same type of magical thinking fostered by religious zealotry is needed to believe Republicans or tax cuts are good for the economy against massive amounts of evidence to the contrary.

Some people can see with their own eyes that the economy is demonstrably worse under Republicans, in real time, and still refuse to believe it. If they couldn't acknowledge it for the past 50 years, they never will.

House Votes to Rein In Trump on Iran War, in a Bipartisan Rebuke

A measure to direct an end to U.S. engagement in Iran was adopted with a handful of Republicans in support, sending a signal of opposition to the president’s handling of the war.

Four. It's even shorter than handful. They could simply have said 'Four Republicans'. 1.84% of republicans voted to end the war.

Bipartisan!? Nah, every democrat and FOUR republicans. This is the same bullshit they keep doing. Republican majority votes against something then takes credit for it when it’s popular. Sure, I’m glad four of them grew some semblance of a spine but to call this bipartisan is a deliberate attempt to take a deserved victory away from democrats.

This just weakens Trump's hand further. Iran will know that the longer they drag this on, the more unpopular the war becomes in the US, and the weaker Trump's negotiating position is in.

Trump will never get a deal as good as what Obama got. Obama got a 160 page deal, with details on what Iran had to follow, and UN inspections agents on the ground in Iran to verify the deal was working. Trump would be lucky to get 1/3 of the deal Obama got. 

The headlines need to constantly remind people how Obama had a PERFECT agreement with Iran, where international inspectors could go in at ANY time. But Trump wanted to squash any legacy Obama had, so he tore up the deal on day 1 with no plan in place.

They also need to clearly state how ANY deal trump makes will be so far from the PERFECT deal Obama already had in place.

Trump has given entire generations of people in various countries a reason and justification to hate and want to destroy America for a very long time.

This is a future that Trump and most of our politicians won't even live long enough to witness, but it's the future they are designing for us to have to live in.

Trump literally executed $750 MILLION worth of stock trades in ONE quarter while being President.

His ethics filing just dropped and the numbers are genuinely unprecedented in history:

Between January and March 2026, Donald Trump personally executed 3,700 individual stock transactions worth between $220 million and $750 million.

That's roughly 60 trades PER DAY.

While signing executive orders, meeting foreign leaders, and making policy decisions that directly impact the companies he's buying and selling.

On February 10, Trump bought between $1 million and $5 million worth of Dell stock.

And that's just ONE stock...

The same filing shows Trump bought Nvidia stock on February 10. One week later, Nvidia announced a massive chip deal with Meta.

He bought more Nvidia stock one week BEFORE his own Commerce Department approved the sale of Nvidia chips to Saudi Arabia.

He bought Intel stock starting in March 2026. The US government already owned a 9.9% stake in Intel worth over $41 billion. On April 30, Trump posted on Truth Social praising Intel, writing that "Intel Stock continues to rise."

Intel jumped 3% in after-hours and is now up 140% year-to-date.

He bought Palantir stock while his administration was actively handing them billion-dollar government contracts for immigration enforcement and defense.

He bought Robinhood stock while his own Trump Accounts program uses Robinhood as the broker.

He's currently sitting on over 100% profit on AMD, Intel, Bloom Energy, Marvell Technology, and at least 10 other positions.

Every single president since Lyndon B. Johnson has used a blind trust to avoid exactly this situation. But Trump didn't.

His assets sit in a trust controlled by his own children, and the filings show a broker acted as agent on several trades.

The White House says the portfolio is "independently managed."

The US is not winning the war in Iran.

Donald Trump told a Florida crowd that it is “treasonous” to say the US is not winning the war in Iran.

 The US president was speaking at The Villages in Florida, the world’s largest retirement community, when he made the remark.

Trump came to tout supposedly fulfilling his 2024 campaign promise to remove taxes on Social Security.

It came after the president told Congress that the war in Iran had already ended, despite his earlier issuing a fresh threat to Tehran.

Not any more than the US won Vietnam.

Seriously, when missiles are being dropped and lives are being lost, who “won” becomes very secondary compared to what was achieved and what got lost getting there. 

Storming the beaches of Normandy, ending the Nazi regime, saving the lives of millions in interment camps, that’s a worthy thing to call a win. Iran is no such win, we were there because … I’m still trying to figure it out, nukes was it the nukes we already had a diplomatic solution to under Obama, or are we using the “bringing freedom and democracy” excuse again?

You're really underselling it. This was the most humiliating defeat in US history.

Iran wrecked every US base in the region. That's never happened to America before. American soldiers were told to run away from the bases and hide in hotels!

The Irania systematically destroyed billions of dollars in critical radar, satelites, air defenses, etc. Multiple THAAD systems, America's top air defense with only 7 total deployed in the field, were destroyed. The US has to scramble to take a THAAD system back from South Korea.

Meanwhile, the US Navy was terrified to get anywhere near Iran's shores. The USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier ran away from a distance of around 350km to over 1100km!

And the US was so afraid of sending aircraft into Iranian airspace that they ended up using a third of their long range missiles so they could launch strikes from outside Iran. Those missiles will take many years to rebuild and restock.

Meanwhile, the Iranians critical assets were all safe inside their missile cities, which are bunkers built 500 meters under granite mountains, designed to withstand nuclear blasts. That's where Iran keeps all their missiles, drones, launchers, missile and drone production, and intelligence hubs.

After over a month, the US didn't even manage to disable a single one of Iran's dozens of missile cities spread out across their 1.6 million sq km of mountainous terrain.

So what did the US destroy? Well, in addition to bombing schools, universities, police stations, civilian factories, etc. the US destroyed a lot of empty warehouses that had been evacuated prior to the war and decoys!

On the weekend before the war, the US tried to fly an F-15 deeper into Iran and it got shot down... Then two A-10s got shot down. Then a KC-135 refueler and and F-16 made emergency landings. Then two black hawk helicopters got shot up and destroyed. Then two C-130s and two little birds got stuck and destroyed. About HALF A BILLION dollars worth of aircraft gone in 48 hours.

And then of course there's the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has claimed permanent control over the Strait and there is nothing the US can do about it. So far, Iran has used that leverage to cause extraordinary damage to the economies of the US and its allies around the world. But if Hormuz isn't opened ASAP, then the global economy will plunge into a severe economic depression.

It's not just oil that comes through Hormuz, it's a third of the world's gas, fertilizer, aluminum, tungsten, helium, and sulfur. Global supply chains are going to start breaking down. The effects of this disruption are delayed but they're really starting to feel it in East Asia now.

The only way out of this mess is for the US to make major concessions to Iran including lifting all sanctions, unfreezing all stolen assets, paying reparations and accepting Iranian control of Hormuz, where they will start charging tolls.

If the US decides to escalate, Iran will go right up the escalation ladder as well. The red sea will be cut off, the Gulf states will be destroyed, oil and gas infrastructure across the region will be destroyed, and the collapse of the global economy will be guaranteed.

There is no parallel for this in American history. It is easily the worse defeat the US has ever suffered.

 It was Trump the first time too, when oil prices went negative after Covid and he colluded with the American Petroleum Institute and OPEC+ (including Russia) to take oil off the market and to cut supply, thus artificially boosting prices because demand stays relatively similar. Effects lasted into Biden's era (inflation as well as gas prices).

Whether you were disappointed with the late Mueller's investigation or not, let's lay down some facts that address MAGA's whole bad faith obsession with calling it the "Russia hoax."

First, The Russia investigation was not a "hoax." There's no evidence that Obama, James Comey, or any public figure committed "treason" or orchestrated some plot against Trump, these allegations contradict years of Intel/findings and are purely politically motivated.

And remember that the FBI publicly announced its investigation into Clinton right before the election while keeping the Russia investigation under wraps. If the Democrats and FBI conspired together against Trump, wouldn't it have been the other way around? Chew on that for a bit MAGA.

With that said:

• The Mueller investigation did not exonerate Trump
• The phrase "no collusion" is a misleading, right wing slogan popularized by Trump. Mueller was not investigating "collusion." The phrase hardly appears in the report, and never within the context of absolving Trump/his campaign of wrongdoing.
• Both the Mueller probe and a GOP led senate panel found that Russia engaged in "information warfare" and attempted to interfere in the 2016 election to the benefit of Trump and with the intention of damaging Clinton's campaign.
• The Russians directly targeted our election systems.
• Russian intelligence hacked organizations, employees and volunteers working with the Clinton campaign.
• Russia manipulated American voters and coaxed hackers into attacking Democrat computer networks.
• According to Mueller, the Russian campaign began in mid-2014, when employees of the "Internet Research Agency" first came to the U.S. to gather material for their elaborate interference effort.
• By the end of 2016, the Russians had set up fake social media accounts that reached millions of voters and aimed to promote Trump and divide Americans.
• The Mueller report lays out how the Russian interference campaign ensnared American political operatives, including the Trump campaign .
• For more than 100 pages, Mueller outlines scores of Russian contacts with the Trump campaign/presidency.
• The report says that Russian agents posed as American citizens and tried to contact the Trump campaign for its cooperation.
• Mueller revealed that there were numerous links between the Trump campaign and the Russians, and that several people connected to the campaign lied to Mueller's team and tried to obstruct the investigation into the Trump campaign's contacts with the Russians.
• WikiLeaks contacted the Russians on Twitter: "If you have anything Hillary-related, we want it in the next two days preferable." Then three days before the DNC, WikiLeaks released more than 20,000 emails and stolen documents to undermine Clinton's candidacy.
• In 2013, Trump took his Miss Universe Pageant to Moscow. Mueller reveals that this is when the Trumps got to know Aras Agalarov, a Russian billionaire and ally of Vladimir Putin. He owned the event hall where the pageant was held.
• Within a few months, Don Jr. signed a preliminary agreement with Agalarov's company to build a Trump Tower property in Moscow.
• Trump announces his run for presidency in 2015
• These ties between the Trump family and a Russian oligarch helped facilitate a new effort to build a Trump Tower in Moscow three months later, this time led by Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, and developer Felix Sater.
• Sater told Cohen that he was working with high-ranking Russian officials. He emailed Cohen: "Buddy, our boy can become president of the USA, and we can engineer it. I will get all of Putin's team to buy in on this."
• The Moscow project is one source of Russian contacts. Mueller exposes about a dozen.
• Campaign aide Carter Page met with Russians and gave a speech in Russia.
• Michael Flynn gave speeches in Russia and had contacts with the Russian ambassador, including a discussion of softening sanctions.
• National security adviser, Jeff Sessions, also met with the Russian ambassador.
• Campaign chairman Paul Manafort shared internal polling data with Russian intelligence.
• Trump aide George Papadopoulos repeatedly met with a Russian intelligence agent who told him that the Russians have dirt on Clinton.
• Another contact point was the infamous NY Trump Tower meeting on June 9, 2016. That morning, Trump Jr. told colleagues he has a lead on damaging info about Clinton. Russians had pitched the meeting to Trump Jr., claiming they had dirt on Clinton. Trump Jr. responded, "If it's what you say, I love it."
• On Page 77 of Mueller's second volume, he writes, "The acting attorney general appointed a special counsel on May 17, 2017, prompting the president to state [in private] that it was the end of his presidency." Not the words of an innocent person.
• During Trump's presidency, WAPO revealed that he was under investigation for obstruction of justice. Three days later, Trump told White House counsel Don McGahn to call acting AG Rod Rosenstein to say Mueller has conflicts and can't serve anymore. The president says that Mueller must go. McGahn doesn't comply.
• Mueller details in the report that Trump obstructed justice at least ten times, but he could not pursue due to the DOJ and Bill Barr's policy that a sitting president cannot be indicted.
• Mueller accuses Trump of trying to obstruct his investigation.
• On page 89, Mueller writes: "Substantial evidence indicates the attempts to remove the special counsel were linked to investigations of the president's conduct."
• On Page 97, "Substantial evidence indicates that the president's effort to limit the special counsel's investigation was intended to prevent further scrutiny of the president's and his campaign's conduct."
• The investigation led to the indictments of 34 individuals
• One conclusion states that Trump's campaign staff presented themselves as "attractive counterintelligence vulnerabilities"
• Both Rick Gates and Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI
• Roger Stone was charged with obstructing and lying to Congress about his Russian contacts and his connection to the release of documents stolen by the Russians.
• The "Steele Dossier" had nothing to do with Mueller's findings. In fact, the first probe began prior to the Dossier being released and the investigation developed in response to two main things: Russia hacking the DNC and intel emerging about a Russian plot to reach out to the Trump campaign to provide dirt on Clinton.
• Trump urged hackers to target Democrats: "Russia, if you're listening, I hope you're able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing."
• Within five hours of Trump saying those words on national TV, Russia's largest foreign intelligence service targeted Clinton's office for the first time

Trump has been downplaying the severity and threat of Russian cyber attacks and election meddling for years, siding with Putin over our own intelligence agencies on the matter.

Trump capitalized off of Russia's meddling in the election. The Mueller report said Trump's campaign "expected it would benefit electorally from information stolen and released through Russian efforts"

A report earlier last year indicated that Pete Hegseth might order US Cyber Command to halt offensive cyber and information operations against Russia.

Trump fired the head of the NSA and US Cyber Command, Timothy Haugh. Haugh was a non-partisan appointee who played an outsized role in overseeing US cyber defense, particularly against Russian threats.

Trump actually once suggested that the US partner with Russia on a cyber security task force. It received swift, bipartisan backlash from lawmakers who had to remind Trump that Russia continues to be one of the US's most dangerous cyber security threats.

To this list we can also add the Republican party's failure to address foreign election interference because they have benefitted politically from this election meddling for the last several elections.

He refused to answer.

Just: I will sell the assets if confirmed

According to reporting, Warsh has over $100 million in undisclosed investments that have not been fully explained to the public or even to ethics officials.

When pressed, Senator Elizabeth Warren specifically asked whether those investments could include:

• Trump affiliated entities

• money laundering vehicles

• Chinese controlled companies

• or financial structures tied to Epstein

He still would not answer.

And this is not coming out of nowhere.

Warsh’s name has appeared in Epstein related documents before. That does not prove wrongdoing. But it does show how tightly connected elite financial and social circles can be.

Now zoom out for a second.

Refuses to answer whether any of that wealth is tied to Epstein linked financial vehicles

And the response is basically:

This is the Federal Reserve. The institution that influences interest rates, markets, housing, jobs, and the financial lives of millions of people.

And we are supposed to be comfortable with that level of opacity?

Because here is the pattern that keeps showing up:

Or maybe it is a system where access, information, and networks matter more than anything else.

The woman detailed her alleged abuse by Trump and convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein over four interviews in 2019, the Epstein files revealed. The interviews were initially kept secret by the DOJ.

A woman who claims she was abused as a minor by both Jeffrey Epstein and Donald Trump has given the FBI vivid accounts that include aspects of her life corroborated by The Post and Courier through public records.

The Epstein class owns our government lock, stock, and barrel. They’re not going to prosecute their owners.

1) This is admitting there are high profile predators on the list.

2) Predators on the Epstein List are still predators today.

Ten years ago today, Donald Trump said he would pay off the national debt in the span of just eight years.

That did not happen. Instead, the gross national debt has doubled since that day—from about $19 trillion to over $39 trillion. Much of that additional borrowing has taken place during Trump's five-plus years in the White House.

The 79-year-old president had threatened to wipe out a “whole civilization” and bomb Iranian bridges and power plants if Tehran didn’t “fully open, without threat” the Strait of Hormuz by 8 p.m. Eastern.

On Tuesday at 6:32 p.m. ET, less than 90 minutes before the deadline, Trump announced that he would suspend attacks on Iran for two weeks in a “double sided ceasefire.”

 Still needs to be removed from office for making such a threat in the first place.
