I am on the side that either we force the government to give us universal healthcare. Or we force the government to make it where health insurance companies have to pay for everything in full no matter what medical area it is. It shouldn't matter if it is mental health, vision, dental, regular healthcare, etc. The health insurance companies are fucking us over and over and over by making us pay to keep our health somewhat fine even though they are getting government help and we pay a health insurance bill every month. And health insurance companies should not be allowed to request more than $75 a month for health insurance as paying upwards of $500-$600+ a month to have any sort of good health insurance is a massive pile of bullshit.
There won't be a single health insurance company left in America if you pass these laws. It simply won't be profitable for them. The whole idea of an insurance company is to make a profit.
If you want price control, you need to have universal healthcare. As soon as you leave it to market forces, you're gonna get price gouged.

Push comes to shove they claim they "manage risk" and want to help people, but the very nature of their business requires customer a being denied so they can even have the financial liquidity to cover customer b.

In a capitalist society it's mostly to pay for a police/military force to keep the people from the country/other countries in check and keep everything working in good shape for the billionaries to get as much profit/extract as much wealth of the workers as possible.

If Americans every get universal healthcare -- along with a higher minimum wage, rent control, affordable education, etc -- there is no going back. It's wild to realize that a lot of people are brainwashed into voting against their own good.
The naysayers state that we will all have to pay more in taxes if we have universal coverage. What they say is true, but it misses the point entirely. With universal coverage, the overall costs of hospitalization, medication and professional services will decrease, and so the overall cost to US society will be much lower. Unfortunately for the powers that be, their billion dollar paychecks will also decrease, and so instead we have patchy expensive coverage, and we have lobbyists.
