Ten years ago today, Donald Trump said he would pay off the national debt in the span of just eight years.
That did not happen. Instead, the gross national debt has doubled since that day—from about $19 trillion to over $39 trillion. Much of that additional borrowing has taken place during Trump's five-plus years in the White House.
Lol. such a financial genius. So much winning.
People continue to put trust into someone who managed to bankrupt a casino twice and has more failed businesses in his name than he has failed marriages.
Well of course it doubles when you reduce taxes on the people who pay the most in taxes (and have way way more than they need because of their exploitation of the working class) and don’t significantly cut spending (because the only place to realistically cut enough without causing societal collapse would piss of the donors in the war business)…
