Nobody in the military can be happy with Kegseth. Even if they agree politically the military rewards competence and discipline. Kegseth is neither competent nor disciplined.

He’s always wanted North Korea levels of adulation from those he views as beneath him. The thing is that exists in NK because of decades and decades of generational brainwashing from the top down starting with the current dictators grandfather. Yeah, Trump has his cult, but that cult hasn’t been inserted into every level of society for a couple generations (though they’re trying to do that now). Most Americans, especially those in leadership positions in our courts, bureaucracy, and military are not true believers in Trump, at least for now. Even if they do wind up putting devotees at all levels though DT himself isn't likely to see the benefits as he's too old.
