Completely blind-sided.
Foresight isn't his strong suit.
The experience hopefully is eye opening.
You could say he lacks perspective.
An eye for an eye and all that.
He didn’t sleep with one eye open.
And ironically it was because he disagreed with Trump a couple times.
That is what made him hated by MAGA.
