GOP isn't looking for your best interest

GOP Candidate for Governor Commits to Accepting Election Result… If She Wins

KARI LAKE, A television journalist turned MAGA candidate to be Arizona’s next governor, rejected an invitation on Sunday to commit to electoral democracy, opting instead to copy Donald Trump’s brand of . Pressured repeatedly on whether she’d accept the results of the election regardless of the result, Lake said she’d accept if she won — and then laid the groundwork for contesting the election if she loses.

“I’m going to win the election, and I will accept that result,” Lake said Sunday on CNN. Asked if she’d accept the result if she loses, Lake paused, smiled, and said: “I’m going to win the election, and I will accept that result. The people of Arizona will never support and vote for a coward like [Democratic nominee] Katie Hobbs.”

That nonsense that dumb Donald started must end. If you’re not willing to accept the outcome of an election if you lose you should not be allowed to participate in the election.

The right wing has abandoned compromise or even discussing policy, and had made everything about us-or-them culture wars. It started in the 70s, got worse under Gingrich, and was supercharged with Trump. Dems can't work with a party like that to make the country better. The GOP needs to abandon fascism and really negotiate if we have any hope of bipartisanship. Anything else is just a concession that rachets us further in a very dangerous direction.

GOP plan to cut Social Security, Medicare in 2023 comes into view

Democrats have spent much of the year warning voters that Republicans will seek cuts to Social Security and Medicare if put in power, and an amazing number of GOP officials and candidates have bolstered the claims. What’s new this week, however, is Republicans signaling how they intend to pursue their goal.

It was two weeks ago when President Joe Biden warned the public that Social Security and Medicare would end up on “the chopping block” if Republicans have their way, and the rhetoric hardly seemed outlandish. In recent months, there’s been no shortage of prominent GOP voices — from Wisconsin Sen. Ron Johnson to New Hampshire’s Don Bolduc to Rep. Buddy Carter of Georgia — who’ve bolstered Biden’s claims.

Here is the report:

Entitlement, Spending Cap Plans Linked by GOP to Debt-Limit Deal

Key GOP members weigh Social Security, Medicare changes

Debt-limit deadline expected in third quarter of 2023

The Republican Study Committee, the largest group of House Republicans, released a budget plan in June that called on lawmakers to gradually raise the Medicare age of eligibility to 67 and the Social Security eligibility to 70 before indexing both to life expectancy. It backed withholding payments to those who retired early and had earnings over a certain limit. And it endorsed the consideration of options to reduce payroll taxes that fund Social Security and redirect them to private alternatives. It also urged lawmakers to “phase-in an increase in means testing” for Medicare.

Smith said Republicans will focus on “protecting and preserving” Social Security and Medicare, but he declined to say specifically if he supports the RSC proposal to raise the eligibility age. He said broadly that Republicans would find “innovative ways to drive down the cost of health care.”

This needs to be blasted everywhere: Republicans are coming for your Social Security and Medicare.

Republicans on a roll

DeSantis under investigation for misuse of COVID-19 funds

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis is under investigation over whether he misused taxpayer dollars to fly dozens of migrants to Martha’s Vineyard, and it’s the Treasury Department who is heading the probe.

The department is planning to investigate whether DeSantis misused COVID-19 recovery funds to fly the migrants from Texas to Massachusetts, last September.

Stealing from sick people is part of the GOP moral values.

Republicans "wE aRe FoR tHe pEoPlE" use Covid funds for his political stunt instead of using in Floriduh.

Ohio's Dewine did something similiar.

Instead of disbursing FEDERAL PUA FUNDS to eligible recipients (in the middle of a pandemic), he sent the PUA $ back to the feds to pay off a federal loan Ohio needed because its unemployment compensation fund was underfunded BY DEWINE himself, all the while claiming this would prevent future tax increases on Ohio employers that would have been needed to pay off the loan due to HIS OWN INCOMPETENCE, and a tax levy that he himself could prevent by not aproving of it in the first place.

Cruel to PUA recipients

A shell game - (aka a "short con" trick) easy and quick to pull off one that the voting public is told is good for them, and/or, that hides the scam.

Abbott, DeSantis, Dewine - axis of evil.

Dirty Dewine is destructive to the people of Ohio.

Roger Stone Threw a Fit After Not Getting Pardon, Called Ivanka ‘Abortionist Bitch’

After Roger Stone wasn’t granted a post-Jan. 6 pardon, he grew so upset that he suggested fighting Jared Kushner, the man tapped as the point person for handling 11th-hour Trump pardons.

In new exclusive footage obtained by The Daily Beast, a yet-to-be-released documentary captured Stone’s meltdown after learning on President Joe Biden’s inauguration day that he wouldn’t be granted a second coveted legal protection, this time to shield from any Jan 6 legal fallout. (Trump issued a pardon to Stone in December 2020.)

I am fucking FLABERGASTED that these people let a CAMERA CREW follow them around while they tried to overturn a whole federal election. Absolutely bonkers!

https://www.cracked.com/amp/blog/trump-adviser-roger-stone-giant-anthropomorphic-dick So much more to learn. “In 1996, Stone was fired from his position in Bob Dole's presidential campaign after the discovery of a personal ad he and his wife had taken out in a swinger magazine and website called Local Swinger Fever. The ad read: Hot, insatiable lady and her handsome body builder husband, experienced swingers, seek similar couples or exceptional muscular ... single men. They also imposed a strict ban on fatties. Only athletes and soldiers would be allowed in Roger Stone's fuck-palace. It's a damn shame he didn't add a trashy cherry on top by requesting his trashy suitor bring Angel Dust and a sixer of Coors.”

Mehmet Oz Busted: Woman He 'Comforted' At Event Was Reportedly An Aide

The campaign for Mehmet Oz, a Pennsylvania Republican candidate for U.S. Senate, did not inform media outlets that a woman Oz consoled at a “community discussion” in September was actually the campaign’s Philadelphia County coordinator, The Intercept reported.

Oz spoke with Sheila Armstrong, who had shared a photo identifying her as a campaign aide in June, and comforted her as she described the shooting deaths of her brother and nephew, several Philadelphia-area news outlets reported.

Someone alert Alex Jones, we’ve finally found a crisis actor!

The one constant of conservative politicians is that they all play their own supporters for absolute morons. They think so little of the people who's vote they're trying to win. It's a con and right wingers are the marks.

Just like the man holding up the "Blacks For America" sign behind Trump, it's disappointing to see people exploit their particular status for cash and/or clout when dealing with parties that will turn on them once they're in power.

“THIS IS NOT A PROP. THIS IS REAL”: GOP SENATE CANDIDATE HERSCHEL WALKER FUMBLES ON GEORGIA DEBATE STAGE

At the fiery Georgia Senate debate on Friday night, former NFL running back Herschel Walker pulled out a fake police badge, backpedaled on his views about abortion, and admitted President Joe Biden won the 2020 election.

I actually feel bad for him after seeing him in clips from that debate. Don't get me wrong, I don't want him anywhere near our government, but that man has clearly had too many head injuries.

He claimed to have multiple personality disorder. Which he uses to explain why he tried to kill his wife.

He got off so easy in this debate. Warnock was way too restrained. As were the moderators.

the ruling class is not innocuous

The public and working classes need to understand, as prior generations did, that the obscene wealth of the ruling class is not innocuous.

I.e., the ruling class is robbing, enslaving, gaslighting, and socially murdering the public and working classes without recourse, using the wealth and power generated from the fruits of humanity's collective labor.

The ruling class use their obscene wealth and power to bludgeon everyone else into "accepting" increasingly awful deals.

Our current political and economic system is an abomination and a crime against humanity.

Currently, 10% of people own between 72-90% of the wealth, and by extension own the other 90% of people with the remaining 10-28% of the wealth.

As George Carlin said, you have owners.

In the same way that slaves were kept ignorant and illiterate in order to maintain slavery, the ruling class keeps the working classes and the public wildly ignorant and miseducated in order to maintain capitalism/kleptocracy in its current form.

We do not live in a democracy, we live in an oligarchy/plutocracy/kleptocracy with pseudo-democratic features that legitimize systems of mass human enslavement, abuse, and exploitation for the benefit of the ruling class.

We need to evolve into an actual democracy in the 21st century.

People have been deliberately miseducated about the system we're living under, and it's time to make both our political systems and our economic systems work for everyone and not just the ruling class.

Democracy at Work: Curing Capitalism | Richard Wolff | Talks at Google

Introduction to Marxism

While we're at it, we should shorten the fucking work week so people have the time and energy to do more than be exploited for the profits of the ruling class, AND significantly reduce climate emissions.

https://www.reddit.com/r/unpopularopinion/comments/f4bade/z/fhqhco4

As the Federal Reserve attempts to tackle inflation by raising interest rates (payments to those with the most capital) and increasing unemployment, we should all be aware that that is not the only choice available in order to have a sustainable economy with low inflation.

Congress and state legislatures could also increase taxes on the obscenely wealthy, shorten the work week to spread the available work around more sensibly (without the enormous poverty and suffering created by unemployment under this system), implement actual anti-trust laws for the 21st century, create a functional housing system to get rent and housing prices under control, implement universal healthcare to get healthcare costs under control (and save hundreds of billions of dollars and hundreds of thousands of lives annually), etc.

Both "inflation" and "getting 'inflation' under control" are examples of how the public and working classes are being robbed, enslaved, gaslit, and socially murdered without recourse by the ruling class in broad daylight, with the wealth and power generated from the fruits of humanity's collective labor.

But you won't hear about the actual causes of (or solutions to) "inflation" in most mainstream media, because the ruling class owns or otherwise controls that, too.

Absolute abomination of a system.

Racist Trump

Donald Trump has appeared to threaten the highest ranking member of his own party in Washington, and made a racial slur against his wife.
In a message posted on his social media platform, Trump railed against Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell.
"Is McConnell approving all of these trillions of dollars worth of Democrat sponsored bills, without even the slightest bit of negotiation, because he hates Donald J Trump, and he knows I am strongly opposed to them," Trump wrote.

He is racist and so are the people that support him. They'll still support him and probably make T-shirts poking fun at her.

No, not Trump. He is the least racist person you will ever meet, he said so himself. /s
