Banning Chemtrails

Tennessee is trying to ban 'chemtrails' from planes based on a wild conspiracy theory

Lawmakers in Tennessee are trying to ban chemtrails in a bill based on a conspiracy theory.

SB 2691 passed in the Senate on Monday, according to The Tennessean. It has not yet advanced in the house.

The chemtrail conspiracy theory claims that commercial aircraft spray chemicals into the atmosphere for malign purposes.

This is referenced in the state's bill, which claims the federal government "may conduct geoengineering experiments by intentionally dispersing chemicals into the atmosphere."

We gots some Rocket Scientists in the Tennessee Statehouse!

I like how they’re worried about chemtrails but not ACTUAL pollution 🤦‍♂️

There are a few videos espousing the idea that these are never just ordinary contrails due to moisture, but they are chemicals being released under a program started 30 or 40 years ago involving all the high flying jet aircraft in the world, meaning every airline and every government. Like they could all agree on anything. LOL This is all being done under our noses in order to slow the heating of the earth by the sun.

Aircraft fuel is composed primarily of hydrocarbons, which generate carbon dioxide and water vapor as their main combustion by-products.

“Contrails” are formed when these hot exhaust gases mix with rarefied cool air. In a process similar to cloud formation, the water condenses around soot (particulate exhaust) and freezes quickly, forming a white haze of microscopic ice crystals which is essentially an elongated cirrus cloud.

Don Poorleone

Donald Trump lashes out as clock runs down on his $464m bond payment

The clock is ticking.

On Monday, Donald Trump will face a reckoning with the legal system as he never has before.

Alongside his four criminal cases - totalling 88 charges - the civil fraud case against the former president, his adult sons Don Jr and Eric, the Trump Organization and two of its executives, seems somewhat underplayed.

Trump said in a deposition last spring that his company had "in excess $400 million in cash," and that it was going up "very substantially every month." As of mid-March, Forbes estimated Trump's net worth at $2.6 billion. The bulk of his assets, however, are in real estate.

So is Trump admitting here that he is deliberately not paying out? Because his desperate efforts to find someone to foot the bill speak otherwise. It appears that even in his deposition, he was inflating his monetary value.

However, Mr Trump has claimed on his social media platform, Truth Social, that he has $500m in cash acquired through “hard work, talent, and luck”.

Pffftt... Bahaha, there he goes again I guess? But this time, he's inflating his own ego...

You mean inheritance, fraud and privilege?

Does Trump really expect anyone other than his mindless supporters to believe that he actually has the capacity for anything resembling "hard work"

And talent? What skills does he possess other than the ability to constantly grift the most naive, uninformed and shamefully susceptible among us?

Trump is a malignant narcissist who has managed to make it this far by appealing to the lowest common denominator.

I'll give him this, he's the first wannabe dictator who has turned artless demagoguery into an art form, only charming those who have made him into the conduit that they use to channel all of their petty resentments, their misery, their animosities, their exclusionary and discriminatory attitudes and their unfounded grievances through everytime he belligerently shares some fanatical sentiment or idea that they all sympathize with together.

In reality, he likely is relying on political action committees and the Republican National Committee to pay his mounting legal bills while he campaigns

Uhh, so for anyone not paying attention, is it starting to click yet? Why Trump, in another act of blatant and shameful nepotism, has installed his own daughter in law into a position he can use to enrich himself and pay off his mounting legal bills? Holy shit, and Biden is the corrupt one?

Donald Trump needs to find $712m by tonight as part of a civil fraud case. Here's what happens if he fails

Donald Trump owes an enormous sum of money to the state of New York and he is running out of time to hand it over

After a judgement against him in a civil fraud case, the former US president was told he had roughly a month to pay $US450 million ($712 million).

But recent court filings indicate he has not managed to find the money yet. And the deadline to stump up the cash runs out tonight.

Republicans don't want feed the kids

HOUSE REPUBLICANS WANT TO BAN UNIVERSAL FREE SCHOOL LUNCHES

ON WEDNESDAY, THE Republican Study Committee, of which some three-quarters of House Republicans are members, released its 2025 budget entitled “Fiscal Sanity to Save America.” Tucked away in the 180-page austerity manifesto is a block of text concerned with a crucial priority for the party: ensuring children aren’t being fed at school.

Eight states offer all students, regardless of household income, free school meals — and more states are trending in the direction. But while people across the country move to feed school children, congressional Republicans are looking to stop the cause.

So let’s review.

Fuck women: national 15 week abortion ban.

Fuck children: ban on feeding hungry children

Fuck the elderly: cuts to social security

Fuck the sick: plans to fully privatize Medicare and Medicaid

Fuck the poor: cuts to food stamps.

But tax cuts for the wealthy and state money to churches.

That’s the modern GOP.

US pass an $800B+ annual defense budget with barely a discussion but this is the hill Republicans choose to make their stand on when it comes to spending.

THE REPUBLICAN STUDY Committee is the largest ideological caucus in Congress, and for the past 51 years, it has served as a principle priority-setter for the party. The committee was chaired as recently as three years ago by House Speaker Mike Johnson. He and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise still sit on the Executive Committee, while Oklahoma Rep. Kevin Hern serves as chair. Its annual budget is not binding, but it does offer a useful window into conservatives’ policy priorities, which can best be summarized as accelerating the planet’s burning, an indifference to mass shootings, and actively threatening consumers and workers.

On the environment — amid the hottest year recorded on Earth — the word “climate” appears 110 times and the word “environment” 53 times in the budget. Not one of those instances has anything to do with a positive Republican vision to address climate change or protect the environment. The RSC instead opposes the creation of a carbon tax and wants to give oil and gas companies deductions on costs like labor and safety, ramp up oil and gas projects on federal lands, and defund the Environmental Protection Agency.

The Republicans also throw their weight behind bills like Virginia Rep. Bob Good’s “No American Climate Corps Act,” to stop federal funds from being used for the American Climate Corps — a revolutionary clean energy jobs program whose applications open next month. While millions of Americans have been surrounded by throat-scratching smog, livelihood-destroying wildfires, and relentless flooding and heat waves, the Republicans call to prohibit the use of emergency disaster or public health emergency declarations “from being used to address purported climate change.”

On guns, Republicans call to undercut or block an array of gun regulations. For instance, the budget supports “defunding the constitutionally dubious red flag provisions in the so-called Bipartisan Safer Communities Act.” That law allocates $750 million to support ongoing state implementation of red-flag laws that remove firearms from individuals who are deemed a threat to themselves or others; it doesn’t force any state to do anything.

On reproductive rights, Republicans call for the passage of an array of anti-choice bills, like Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles’s “Ending Chemical Abortions Act of 2023,” which would federally outlaw the use of abortion pills, and West Virginia Rep. Alex Mooney’s “Life at Conception Act,” which would designate embryos made through in vitro fertilization as being alive — even as many of the same Republicans have scrambled to claim they support IVF in the aftermath of a similar Alabama Supreme Court ruling that led multiple clinics to halt IVF procedures.

Like every good Republican fiscal document, the RSC budget threatens changes to Social Security, including by raising the retirement age. Other Republican budget priorities include eliminating all future funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, which provides aid to Palestinian refugees; prohibiting federal subsidies for high-speed rail; getting rid of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau; reducing funding for the famously under-supported Occupational Safety and Health Administration; and eliminating the National Labor Relations Board, which, under President Joe Biden, has done much to protect workers’ right to organize.

Not to be confused as completely frugal, the Republicans call to finish construction of border wall projects proposed by former President Donald Trump. And not to be confused as focused, the budget includes the word “woke” 37 times.

“As in previous years,” the Republicans say about their master plan, “the RSC budget also celebrates the work of House conservatives who have fought for legislation that preserves American values, combats Biden’s woke and weaponized government, and protects the freedoms that should be enjoyed by every American.”

Billionare Begs for fans to pay his legal fees and bonds

‘Keep your filthy hands off Trump Tower!’: Trump begs fans to pay his $464m bond

Donald Trump has sent out a panicked fundraising message to his supporters as he begs them to help foot his ballooning legal bills.

The desperate memo, titled “Keep your filthy hands off Trump Tower!”, comes as the Monday deadline to pay his $464m bond in his New York fraud trial judgement ticks ever closer.

They started idolizing him because he pretended to be a genius self made billionaire.

Now they give him their money to save his ass, and they don't even see how ridiculous this sounds?

The final paragraph is the shocker.

Asked in an interview with Fox News later on Wednesday whether Mr Trump could look to wealthy overseas donors in Russia or Saudi Arabia for help, Mr Trump’s attorney Alina Habba did not rule it out, stating instead that she could not discuss strategy.
Because yeah, why should they ever rule out a presidential candidate taking half a billion dollars from adversarial nations?

Donald Trump's Properties Have at Least $200M in Outstanding Loans

Donald Trump has multiple loans on his properties amounting to at least $200 million, which may devalue their worth and make it less likely that they will be seized to recuperate the costs of his legal fines.

200m in outstanding loans against the properties, but that's by far not a full picture of the debt he carries around. I believe The Economist or Business Insider said that he has about 472 million in loans all coming due before the end of the year, and even that isn't his total debt.

I would actually be very surprised if you even ended up with a positive number once you added together ALL of his assets and liabilities.

We're about to watch this man have his 7th bankruptcy while trying to convince us he'd better for the economy that guy who is currently in office saved.. from him..

This time it will be a personal bankruptcy, not a company. He's got nowhere to hide. He's so fucked, his cult of low education low income fascists are too poor to bail him out.

Trump’s invite to major donors prioritizes the committee paying his legal bills over the RNC

NEW YORK (AP) — Donald Trump’s new joint fundraising agreement with the Republican National Committee directs donations to his campaign and a political action committee that pays the former president’s legal bills before the RNC gets a cut, according to a fundraising invitation obtained by The Associated Press.

Nice, the destruction of the republican party is nearly complete.

If they donate - then it’s their loss. If they want to give him money that won’t go to down ballot candidates, that won’t be used to actually push vote Republican issues - then good for them.

Waste their money on his crimes. Every dollar that keeps another Republican for office is another chance to get a progressive agenda and really help Americans.

Trumps decline is speeding

Trump crowd goes silent as he confuses Biden and Obama again

“I know them both very well and we will restore peace through strength. Get that war settled. It’s a bad war. And Putin has so little respect for Obama that he’s starting to throw around the nuclear word,” Mr Trump added, seemingly in the false belief that Mr Biden’s former boss remains in charge.

He also mistakes million dollar properties for billion dollar ones.

This is the rare election where both candidates have actually served as president, so we can easily compare their accomplishments. Biden passed the largest piece of climate legislation ever. Trump gave massive tax cuts to the wealthy, and used the job to enrich himself aa much as possible. Biden safely landed the economy after the massive inflation caused by the pandemic. Trump told us to inject bleach.

So hard to choose!

They're just rolling with this one like they roll with everything he says. I've seen footage in the past few weeks of Trump supporters insisting Biden is a puppet president being controlled by Obama, who is secretly pushing his agenda behind the scenes. So when Trump calls Biden "Obama," he's just "telling it like it is."

I mean, keep sharing these flubs and mistakes... maybe it will remind independents he's unfit... but the MAGA crowd isn't going to be convinced he's ever said anything wrong in his life.

Donald Trump Mocked for Calling Obama President During Speech

Ron Filipkowski, the editor-in-chief of the independent news network MeidasTouch, posted on X, formerly Twitter: "This will be yet another one of the 127 other instances where tomorrow Trump will claim he mixed up Obama and Biden again on purpose."

The dude up there mini-stroking his word salad but media has been focused on Biden's age? I feel like I'm the crazy one trying to understand this nonsense

Trump is deteriorating and the news media chooses to only focus on Biden’s age. If Biden made even one mistake like this then we would see non-stop coverage for weeks.

Biden, a man with a speech impediment, makes a single word mixup. The media harps it for weeks, wondering if he has dementia and if he's fit to lead.

Trump makes an uncountable number of word mixups, including inventing bizarre words out of whole cloth, which is an actual sign of dementia. The media ignores specifics, and instead focuses on that we've got two old guys running for president.

The media is a joke. They report on controversy because it gets more views and thus more ad revenue. Most people know Trump is a fucking idiot, there's no money in reporting on that. But going after Biden gets views, so that's what they report. It's sick, they are killing this country with unintentional propaganda by seeking the cheapest dollar. That combined with the actual propaganda from Fox and its ilk gives me very little hope for our society.

Stop calling it a gaffe or mistake. His mind is rotting and losing a linear footing. Happens to most old people. It's why they speak of the past in such detail.
