Trump did try to overthrow the government

Trump Incited the Terrorism of January 6, Investigations Further Show

The ongoing series of hearings by the House committee investigating January 6 has produced numerous revelations about Donald Trump’s attack on the peaceful transfer of presidential power. The most explosive evidence to date has come from Cassidy Hutchinson, a former top aide in the Trump White House, who described how Trump knowingly urged armed supporters to march on the Capitol and reportedly raged against Secret Service agents who prevented him from joining the mob bent on stopping the certification of Joe Biden’s election victory.

The only thing I can sort of think about why all the people who followed him including republicans even though they knew he was wrong, is a collective Stockholm Syndrome. He abused them, they love him.

January 6 panel to show Trump violated law by refusing to stop Capitol attack

The January 6 House select committee is expected to make the case at its hearing on Thursday that Donald Trump potentially violated the law when he refused entreaties to take action to stop the 2021 attack on the US Capitol by a mass of his supporters, according to two sources familiar with the matter.

I'm afraid Trump violated the law several times. Lifetime criminals tend to do that.

I’m getting nervous about how much evidence is truly needed when you have all this shit on video in addition to all the other highly suspect ways he tried to interfere with the election. What other evidence do you need?

Trump had 'extreme difficulty' with his speech on the day after January 6

The outtakes, first reported by The Washington Post, were part of production of a speech Trump gave the night after the riot. They show Trump having a difficult time working through the effort to tape the message. Trump refused to say the election results had been settled and attempted to call the rioters patriots. He also went to great lengths to not accuse them of any wrongdoing.

Can’t even imagine what the first take would have been. The fact that you need more than one take to tell people to leave your nations Capitol is pretty fucking sad.

The video tape outtakes will be one part of a larger presentation during which the committee plans to detail Trump's lack of attention to the ongoing riot. The committee has said it will focus on the 187 minutes that Trump sat back, refusing to act, as the Capitol was under siege. Some committee members have described this as Trump's "dereliction of duty."

This will be good.

My hail mary guess is he starts rapping "Fuck The Police" by NWA.

Tell me more about how the Dems are coming for your freedoms

Don’t forget, what religion you can practice.

Or whom you can marry.

To be fair, a lot of republican voters are lying about their reasoning.

A bunch of them don't actually believe the rhetoric and projection, they just don't want to admit that they vote out of sexism, racism, classism, etc.

Bill Clinton is gonna take yer guns!

Obama is gonna take yer guns!

Hillary is gonna take yer guns!

A month before the 2020 election Rand "FuckHead" Paul tweets a picture of himself standing in some sort of gun shop with the comment, "Just looking at all of the guns Biden will get rid of if he wins."

These people are stupid, and their elected leaders know this.

Trump and GOP at it again

Nevada GOP primary loser sues over “unfair election”: “Mathematical impossibility” that I lost

Failed far-right Nevada Republican gubernatorial candidate Joey Gilbert filed a lawsuit seeking to overturn his primary defeat, citing an "analysis" that found his loss to be a "mathematical impossibility" even after a recount he requested confirmed the results.

I thought there was a swing set installer posing as expert mathematician in the 2020 election "Stop the Steal" movement. It's the same guy:

The "expert mathematician" cited by Gilbert is infamous election conspiracy theorist Edward Solomon, who falsely claimed to have found evidence that the 2020 presidential election was rigged using an algorithm — a claim repeatedly debunked by expert fact-checkers, who noted that Solomon's claims show a "basic misunderstanding of how vote counts work."

Dominion Voting Systems, the voting tech company at the heart of one of Trumpworld's debunked conspiracy theories, said in a lawsuit against right-wing network OAN that Solomon is a "convicted drug dealer who never graduated college and whose current job was setting up swing sets in Long Island, New York."

Yeah, I'll totally trust a drug dealing swing set installer that never graduated college when it comes to electoral math. /s

This is what passes for "evidence" of fraud in the Republican mind. These people are so deluded and steeped in propaganda that there is no coming back.

This will be how every asshole far right Republican will handle losing from now on.

Wisconsin official says Trump phoned him last week to pressure him to change election results

Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos on Tuesday said former president Donald Trump is still pressuring him to purportedly rescind the Badger State’s 2020 electoral votes, even though there is no legal way to do so and no ground to even consider such an action.

Hey DOJ, this is what happens when you don't take action, criminals keep breaking the law.

Trump pressured top Wisconsin Republican to decertify 2020 results, then threatened him — last week

Former President Donald Trump is still waging his campaign to reverse his 2020 election loss more than 20 months later, issuing a thinly veiled threat to a top Wisconsin Republican who rebuffed his request to decertify the state's results.

Jesus fucking Christ just arrest this guy. Just read a story about a young black dude who got executed by cops for being in the vicinity of an armed persons report. Meanwhile, this dickwad is actively undermining democracy.

He's desperate to be President RIGHT NOW to break up the hearings. He can't wait until the next election because he'll probably be in jail by then. The guy is like a cornered rat now.

N. Carolina Bill Proposing Women Who Get Abortions Be Executed Sparks Fury

Although the bill was filed in February 2021 and received little support from state legislators, it received renewed attention on social media after viral tweets incorrectly stated it was introduced recently, in the wake of the Supreme Court's historic reversal of its decision in Roe v. Wade last month.

"Republicans in North Carolina just introduced a bill that'd make abortion punishable with death," Santiago Mayer, the founder and executive director of Voters of Tomorrow, a nonprofit focused on getting young people into politics, wrote in a tweet on Monday that has so far been shared more than 20,000 times. "So very pro-life of them."

The Republicans are openly showing us who they are, but we need to make sure everyone sees it.

I dont want to see a single solitary Republican voter complaining about any of this shit because

THIS IS WHAT YOU'VE BEEN FUCKING VOTING FOR FOR THE LAST 40Y

Yall don't get a "bUt I lIkE tHeiR tAx pOlicIeS" pass anymore and to be frank- too many people were ok with giving that pass to begin with, its always been a bunch of bullshit

Fuck that- You Vote GOP you own all this shit

Democrats Just Forced Every House Republican to Take a Stance on Marriage Equality

The Respect for Marriage Act is not only correct as a matter of public policy, it is also good politics. By pushing for a vote on the Respect for Marriage Act, Democrats have forced House Republicans (and likely their Senate colleagues too) to make their views explicit when it comes to marriage equality. And on Tuesday, 157 Republicans voted against the Respect for Marriage Act.

Here is what could happen... Congress could pass a law and then the elected officials that need to can support it and look fine. Then states like Tennessee can sue and ask SCOTUS to determine the Constitutionality of the law and overturn it. Then the elected officials can says they did the right thing by supporting it, all the while knowing that the SCOTUS would likely review and overturn.

That being said, I don't think it would be easy to make a good argument for it being unconstitutional. However, it seems to me that this Supreme Court prefers to make decisions and then seek legal theories to support it rather than using precedent and legal theory to make a decision.

Republicans are pro Neo-nazi

House Republicans All Vote Against Neo-Nazi Probe of Military, Police

The House has approved an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act to compel government officials to prepare a report on combating white supremacists and neo-Nazi activity in the police and military, despite every Republican voting against the measure.

Just shows that there's some kind of widespread behind the scenes shittery going on with Republicans. Not a single one thought this would be a good idea? None? That's not normal. That's collusion towards an ulterior goal which we already know and they've already tried: overthrowal of American democracy. They need supporters of authoritarianism in the rank and file of law enforcement for when they try again and who better than nationalists?

Every Single House Republican Voted Against Investigating Neo-Nazis in the Military

All 208 House Republicans thumbed their noses at an amendment to a bill that would order the government to investigate white supremacist and neo-Nazi activity in the military and federal law enforcement.

They are the nazis. Why would they vote to investigate themselves?

Lauren Boebert on a roll

Lauren Boebert reported to FBI over Biden tweet: ‘We need to terminate this presidency’

Republican representative Lauren Boebert was reported to the FBI on Sunday after she posted what some users deemed to be an incendiary message on Twitter.

Biden isn't even actively doing anything that could be considered radical. He's literally trying to keep things as still as possible. Which really means the GOP is upset they can't railroad their own radical changes while he is President. At least, not by executive means.

Boebert claims in her memoir that her husband was the victim in case where he indecently exposed himself

Rep Lauren Boebert’s claims in her newly released memoir, “My American Life”, that her husband was the real victim in a 2004 case where he was arrested and pleaded guilty to “public indecency and lewd exposure”.

Why does a 35 year-old person who has accomplished nothing need a memoir?

That was my first thought. She’s a junior congresswoman who hasn’t done anything from a legislative perspective. She owned a restaurant that had a number of health code violations and had a dumb gun theme. Her husband exposed himself to underage girls before miraculously landing a high paying consulting job with no actual experience to justify the salary.

The only thing that’s notable (to the Fox News audience) is that she yells dumb shit at democrats all day long. It really does show you that’s all it takes to make it with that crowd.

I swear if I had less self respect I’d be all in and trying to get every penny from that crowd that I could. It seems really easy.

She was with him her classmates were with the victims. She also dropped out of high school pregnant with his child. Sold bad BBQ out of an illegal food truck resulting in 60plus case of explosive diarrhea. Illegally had a minor open carry in her restaurant. And a bunch of other shit and that's all before she ran for office and ramped up the illegal activity by engaging in fraud regarding mileage to pay back taxes on her restaurant. Inciting an insurrection. Tweeting the locations of Congress for the insurrectionists after being told not to reveal the secure location by capitol police. And so forth and so on.

Boebert’s Ex-Campaign Manager Was Involved In Voting Machine Plot, Court Docs Say

New arrest documents in a criminal case over leaked voting machine data make repeated allegations about the involvement of Sherronna Bishop, Rep. Lauren Boebert’s (R-CO) former campaign manager.

Seems like the only people who cheated were Republicans.

They're all convinced that democrats cheat just as much but the Deep State refuses to catch them.

Yes, they spin lies and repeat them to each other for so long that they actually start believing it. Then it snowballs into them fighting an imaginary monster they created themselves. Same thing happened when that guy shot up a pizza parlor because Q said it was a cover for a child sex trafficking ring.

DeSantis on a roll to be next Trumpster

Ron DeSantis Would Kill Democracy Slowly and Methodically

During the Donald Trump era, democracy itself has become the preeminent question of American politics. Yet Trump himself has played a paradoxical role in this development. While his overtly authoritarian personality brought the democracy question to the fore, the sheer grossness of his behavior also served to blot out the deeper ideological causes of the rift. As Trump eventually fades from the scene — perhaps overtaken by Ron DeSantis — the democracy question, far from disappearing, might instead sharpen.

Generally these things are slow, then sudden. So people are in denial it's happening until, whaddaya know, there's a Reichstag fire.

Republicans seem poised to go guns a blazing on our constitution the first chance they get.

I just hope I have enough time to get to Canada before they break out the handmaid's dresses.

US government has finally and completely been handed over to a 5 judge majority on the supreme court. They are the latest salvo in an on going war between self governance and humanities apparent instinct to follow "Great Men". It'll be interesting to see if majority rule ever returns.

The main upshots of this are that it seems less and less likely that government will ever be able to do anything progressive ever again. On the block are civil rights, women's rights, bodily autonomy, rule of law, and other nice things like built infrastructure, product safety, climate change and more.

Ron DeSantis falsely claims Biden trying to ‘buy off’ states to adopt critical race theory

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis criticized President Joe Biden for what he said were attempts to "indoctrinate students" with critical race theory.

In a press conference, DeSantis hailed the state’s improving test scores on civics and history and contrasted Florida’s approach — which included contentious civics training for educators — with the Biden administration’s "ideological agenda."

Has the GOP ever run on any actual issues?

Or has it always just been whatever the current boogeyman is that they can scare their voters with?

Ron DeSantis's only game is pandering to morons.

Ron DeSantis’ handpicked "radical far-right" secretary of state will oversee his race

Democrats and election experts have sounded the alarm for months about the growing risk of election subversion as conspiracy theorists backed by former President Donald Trump run for secretary of state in key swing states. But with little fanfare or media attention, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis earlier this year hand-picked a right-wing ally who refuses to acknowledge President Joe Biden's 2020 victory to oversee his re-election race.

It's amazing that idiots fall for the "Drain the Swamp" bullshit and can't even realize that the Republican Party is making that "Swamp" deeper & deeper.

Florida is officially run by a fascist tyrant and he gets his support from alcoholics and meth heads.

No he gets his support from the same people that fall for the Nigerian prince scam... ancient people who are gullible and vulnerable.

From what I recall, Deathsentence is highly educated and knows precisely the evil shit he is doing. The risk is worth the reward for him.

Trumpester on a roll

Trump may have committed “serious federal crime” with “targeted” IRS audits of Comey, McCabe: expert

Comey, whom Trump fired in 2017 while he oversaw the FBI's investigation into the Trump campaign's ties to Russia, and McCabe, who was similarly terminated after investigating Trump over the Coney firing, were selected for a "random" audit known as an "autopsy without the benefit of death," according to the report. Out of about 153 million individual tax returns filed in 2017, only about 5,000 people are selected for this type of invasive audit each year.

Man, Trump really exposed just how easy it is to corrupt the federal branch. What kind of braindead lackey at the IRS agreed to this blatant retaliation? You think trump was actually gonna check if they were audited or not? Of course not. They should have just ignored him.

This deserves investigation - if one can direct the IRS to audit, one could also direct the IRS not to audit. And I suspect the latter would be used much more frequently.

I wonder who Trump might tell the IRS not to audit?

Georgia Official, Trump Cyber Chief Subpoenaed in Fox News Case

The voting-machine company falsely accused of rigging the 2020 election against Donald Trump is seeking to question two former administration officials and Georgia’s elections chief as part of its $1.6 billion defamation suit against Fox News.

The GOP have been accusing others of doing exactly what they are doing. Saying the Dominion machines are rigged comes straight from the GOP playbook. https://www.dcreport.org/2020/12/19/mitch-mcconnells-re-election-the-numbers-dont-add-up/

Will Trump Run in 2024? There’s a Reason Why He Won’t Say

The former president’s hesitance to declare his candidacy involves — you guessed it — money and skirting the law

"Trump very much seems like he is running for president in 2024, which according to campaign finance law should prohibit him from coordinating with super PACs like MAGAA, or his leadership PAC Save America, which together brought in north of $80 million in the first half of this year. Trump is able to coordinate with those PACs, though — and use their money to finance his travel, his campaign-style rallies, his God knows what else — because he hasn’t yet officially declared his candidacy. The former president is then, in essence, running what appears to be a shadow campaign designed to skirt campaign finance regulations while holding the still-distant race for the Republican nomination hostage."

Federal officials to Donald Trump: Your political money numbers don't make sense

Trump's Make America Great Again PAC made several mistakes in its first-quarter 2022 financial report, including discrepancies in its reported cash on hand in addition to calculation errors, according to a July 6 letter the Federal Election Commission sent the committee.

Trump is lining his pockets with his ignorant base.

Republicans at it again part 2

Hours After Mass Shooting, GOP Candidate Says Time to ‘Move On’ and ‘Celebrate’

Hours after a gunman opened fire during an Independence Day parade in a Chicago suburb, Illinois state Senator Darren Bailey, a Republican, called for people to “move on and… celebrate.”

I bet if you ask him about what he intends to do to curb mass shootings and gun violence in America, he’ll tell you it’s “too soon” and “not the time for politics”.

Notice how it's never "the right time" to talk about gun control? Or mental illness? Or anything the GOP doesn't want to do? Convenient, that.

Pray the gun violence away. Whatever we do though, let us not devolve to the point where we can have an honest discussion about gun control and find ANY compromise at all that might actually help prevent it.

South Dakota governor defends state's abortion 'trigger' ban when asked if 10-year-old should be forced to give birth

When asked by CNN's Dana Bash on "State of the Union" whether children similar to a 10-year-old child abuse victim who traveled from Ohio to Indiana to receive an abortion should be forced to give birth, Noem said, "This tragedy is horrific. I can't even imagine. I have never had anybody in my family or myself gone through anything like this. ... But, in South Dakota, the law today is that the abortions are illegal, except to save the life of the mother."

She would force a ten year old victim of abuse to give birth?! What kind of inhuman monster do you have to be to think that is a good idea.

They keep saying that they are guided by their faith in these decisions... But if they think that this is what Jesus would want, then they never really understood what he was talking about.

These people are f**king nuts.

Not only are the punishing a child for being raped, which is heinous by itself, a 10 year old’s body is not equipped to carry a pregnancy to term. In addition to the increased risks of hypertensive disorders and their sequelae, there’s a strong likelihood that this child would need to undergo a caesarean delivery, which is major surgery and carries risks of hemorrhage, infection, and damage to adjacent structures such as the bowel/bladder. Not to mention that a c-section recovery can be brutal. Did I also mention that a baby born to a 10 year old is likely to be premature if it survives? And who’s going to support the costs of childbirth and a NICU stay? Even women with extremely good health insurance can have out of pocket costs of $3000 at the minimum, and that’s assuming an uncomplicated vaginal delivery.

Let me tell you that many ADULT women struggle with pregnancy and childbirth. It has the potential to be one of the most terrifying and traumatic experiences of one’s life, depending on what happens. The pain of childbirth is no joke— there’s a reason why nearly 70% in the US receive an epidural at some point during the process. And hemorrhage is a very real and common complication. I’ve seen people lose over 4L of blood during/after childbirth.

These anti-choice politicians are sick in the head to want a child to endure any of this. They are actively promoting the suffering of an innocent child for a clump of tissue. It’s just so wrong.

Missouri lawmakers seek to gag pharmacists on ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine sulfate

A bill passed by the Missouri legislature this past session prohibits pharmacists from telling patients about dangers related to certain medications — specifically, ivermectin or hydroxychloroquine sulfate tablets.

Missouri state rep resigns after federal conviction for COVID-19 fraud scheme

Missouri state Rep. Tricia Derges (R) was convicted on Tuesday after she applied for nearly $900,000 in CARES Act funds for what she said were COVID-19 testing costs incurred by nonprofit Lift Up, but the organization never provided any testing services, according to a press release from the Department of Justice (DOJ).

The further I read this article, the clearer it becomes that the corruption and criminal behavior here is breathtaking in its scope and she seems to have not a whit of remorse. Checks all the boxes to have that (R) after her name...

Don't forget Rick Roeber, R, MOHD 34, who got elected despite credible allegations of sexual assault from all of his own children

Or Nick Schroer who got elected in a district he provably didn't live in and managed to win in court anyway

Or Justin Hill who skipped his swearing in Ceremony to participate in the Jan 6 insurrection

The Republican Plot to Turn Back the Clock Is Just Getting Started

As told by former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson this week, on January 6, 2021, President Donald Trump went to a “Stop the Steal” rally, hoping to meet a crowd of armed and angry supporters whom he expected to personally lead to the U.S. Capitol; he lashed out when he was told that no, he could not join his mob in their collective mission. Hutchinson’s account sent shock waves through the media, and for good reason: Her testimony speaks to Trump’s intentions that day, a pattern of facts that’s often very necessary but very elusive in successful criminal prosecutions.

Mark my words Republicans are moving to dismantle American politics and install a semi-presidential regime like Russia.

Signs are all here.
