Presidency was for sale under Trump

Trump Took $7.8 Million in Foreign Cash While in Office. He’d Do It Again.

Donald Trump and his businesses hauled in at least $7.8 million from foreign governments and officials of 20 countries during his presidency. The bulk of that came from China, but Saudi Arabia, Qatar and others also chipped in relatively modest amounts, according to a new report from Democrats on the House Oversight Committee.

Trump Received Millions From Foreign Governments as President, Report Finds

The transactions, detailed in a 156-page report called “White House For Sale” that was produced by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, offer concrete evidence that the former president engaged in the kind of conduct that House Republicans have labored, so far unsuccessfully, to prove that President Biden did as they work to build an impeachment case against him.

Trump’s Two-Year Take From Foreign Governments While He Was President Is Staggering

If you still had any doubts as to whether Donald Trump had self-serving motivations as the nation’s forty-fifth president, then a new report detailing the millions of dollars he received from foreign governments should make it clear it definitely wasn’t America he was putting first.

China spent over $5.5 million at Trump properties while he was in office, documents show

Democrats say the additional accounting records raise new questions about possible efforts to influence Trump through his companies while he was in the White House.

As an example, committee Democrats point to the fact that Trump declined to impose sanctions on the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), a state-owned entity that leased property at Trump Tower in New York.

Republican are doing things, not for the people, but against political rival

House Republican says he won't accept a border deal because it may help Biden politically

"Let me tell you, I'm not willing to do too damn much right now to help a Democrat and to help Joe Biden's approval rating," Republican Rep. Troy Nehls of Texas told CNN this week. "I will not help the Democrats try to improve this man's dismal approval ratings. I'm not going to do it. Why would I?"

Troy Nehls is the rep who, during the most recent speaker votes, explicitly said that his number one priority in every decision he makes is helping Trump get back in the White House.

They're literally saying we can't fund Ukraine help because it'd be better spent here, but when it's time to vote on funding more border security they all reject it. Republicans can entirely go fuck themselves!!!! What's worse is how they keep getting away with it never facing any pushback from media who just both-sides everything, framing everything as a loss for Biden.

"Today is Biden's birthday, here's how that's a bad thing"

The almost outrageous thing about that argument is the vast majority we are spending on Ukraine is spent domestically on arms and support systems manufactured right here in the good old USA

I live in such a federally funded boom town. Yet the town remains overwhelmingly conservative and opposed to the hand that is literally feeding us.

It’s such an unbelievably disingenuous argument. But hey it goes down easy and don’t come up hard

Exactly. The other great thing about it is we get (or got by now) to decommission all this old equipment by sending it to Ukraine instead of going through the very expensive decommissioning process, saving money while helping them out.

Not only that but by fighting Russia by proxy, we'll eventually see Russia's collapse w/o sending any troops.

I've heard some military higher-ups estimates that we're getting at least 10x our money back by supporting Ukraine this way, as it'll pay off hugely years down the line.

Stupid Repubs only think about themselves and the now, never the future. Myopic cruel assholes.

If something is good for the country, of course it will benefit the party currently in the White House.

You might even think it would benefit the party currently in control of the House of Representatives, too.

Winning is clearly less important than making sure that Democrats, and especially Biden, lose.

House GOP is obstructing progress at the border by blocking staffing surge, White House says

Administration officials are ramping up the rhetoric as dozens of House Republicans on Wednesday traveled to Texas to visit the border to highlight what they see as President Biden’s failings. The comments, which called out House leaders for blocking consideration of emergency funding that would provide for the hiring of thousands of federal border and immigration personnel, also came ahead of the start of impeachment hearings into Homeland Security Department Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, which lawmakers announced on Wednesday would proceed next week.

The GOP doesn’t have an interest in solving problems, they just want to complain about them.

Creating a crisis (or adding to one) during Democratic administrations has been GOP policy for decades. They then run on that increased crisis in elections to fool voters who haven't been properly informed by the media what the GOP has been doing.

Nice to see the White House calling this out but for fuck's sake the media should have been reporting on this for the past year.

While Abbot's goons are kidnapping people, putting them on busses, with lies about their destination, and then trafficking them to northern blue cities as a cheap political stunt that literally everyone can see right through.

Republicans don’t want a solution, they want something to blame on democrats

Trumps best bud Epstein

Donald Trump Flights on Jeffrey Epstein's 'Lolita Express'—What We Know

There is speculation that former President Donald Trump could be among the high-profile names included in the unsealed court documents related to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, as the former president sometimes used the child sex offender's private jet.

The names of about 200 people linked to Epstein, who took his own life in a New York jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial for child sex charges, could be revealed this week after U.S. District Judge Loretta Preska ruled that they should no longer be redacted as part of a settled civil lawsuit between Ghislaine Maxwell, who was found guilty in December 2021 of helping Epstein abuse and traffic underage girls, and accuser Virginia Giuffre.

Trump has also never been implicated in the offenses committed by Epstein or Maxwell.

He was literally sued by a woman who says trump raped her when she was 13 at one of Epstein’s parties. I linked the court filing. It’s a short, but disturbing read.

The suit was set for trial and she received so many death threats she backed away. This was news before the 2016 election.

Here’s an article written by one of the woman’s lawyers soon afterwards.

Not only do we know that Trump and Epstein were friends, but we also know for a fact that Trump has flown on Epstein's plane. This is a matter of public record, and explained in the article. So yeah, his name is almost surely in these sealed documents of the investigation.

That said, there are much better reasons to believe Trump is a terrible person than just that he flew on an airplane that was owned by a trafficker. Like that we have a recording of him saying he likes to sexually assault women, and that multiple victims have told us he sexually assaulted them. There's no need to rely on speculation about his associates when he and his victims have all spoken about his assaults personally.
