Trump's turning the coat

Trump hails the COVID-19 vaccine as 'one of the greatest achievements of mankind' and rejects vaccine skepticism in new interview

"In her interview with Trump, Owens raised doubts about the vaccine, saying the COVID-19 death toll has still increased even as the vaccines have been made available over the past year.

Trump firmly rejected the proposition. "No, the vaccine worked. But some people aren't taking it. The ones that get very sick and go to the hospital are the ones that don't take their vaccine.""

I wonder how different this all would have gone if trump took this seriously from the start - wore a mask, encouraged social distancing, treated this like a serious issue.

Everything would be different. But he treated Covid from the start not as an emergency but a threat to his re-election, so he minimized it, and by minimizing it he caused his supporters to reject everything that would address it; masks, vaccines, etc.

It all goes back to him and how he responded to it in those crucial first days.

He literally said to Candace Owens "I came up with a vaccine — with three vaccines — all are very, very good … in less than nine months. It was supposed to take five to 12 years.”

He wants credit, a Nobel prize, adulation, to win another election, all of the above.

All it took was for Biden to say his name in connection with the vaccine for little Donald to go all out on it. It's not like scientists were waiting for his permission to create a vaccine, they had already been working on it long before operation "warp speed". But the small man is so hungry for attention and credit that he can't help himself. Which is good here, if it helps convince skeptics to get the vaccine. It will accelerate the process of returning to normal, which will also be good for Biden and the Democrats' chances of retaining Congress. Clever move, Joe.

Trump's Handling of COVID Was Worse Than You Thought.

The worst thing trump did was downplay this and set the stage for the entire world to follow. If swift action was taken, if he didnt inject confusion and doubt, the world would be maybe in a better spot. I di think we missed a boat in a complete world lockdown for political reasons and also bc of ego etc.

So if he had handled this like a real president and put the right foot forward, wed be maybe Corona free by now. We never will know.

Trump admits he suddenly finds it 'very tough' to slam Biden after surprising vaccine comments

"Thanks to the prior administration and our scientific community, America is one of the first countries to get the vaccine," Biden said from the White House, referring to the Trump administration's vaccine effort referred to as Operation Warp Speed. "

Donald Trump has to be the easiest person in existence to manipulate.

Between his degrading brain and rampant narcissism all you have to do is complement him and he will fold to give you anything you want.

All of a sudden Trump has lost all his cards against Biden. The economy is doing better, joblessness claims are the lowest since Obama, and now Trump can't criticize Biden's handling of Covid.

Trump slips in admission of electoral defeat in new interview

"More than a year later, Donald Trump appeared to acknowledge his bitter 2020 election defeat.

The former president made the admission while discussing his long-promised border wall in a Tuesday interview, lamenting President Biden's discontinuation of the project back in April.

"They could have had [the wall] done in four weeks if they pursued it," Trump complained to host Gene Bailey. "We started building and we built almost 500 miles of wall, certain sections we couldn't get rights to and now we have rights."

"And had they, had we won the election, it would almost be – it would be completed now,"

Trump added, seeming to admit the reality of his loss. "

Stop the steal was grift from the get-go.

MAGA Diehards Melt Down Over Trump’s Pro-Vax Push

"In the crisscrossed, Q-addled conspiracy world where Donald Trump is held up as America’s great savior, and covid-19 vaccines are denounced as part of a poisonous plot to control the world, the former president’s own vaccination status — Trump privately got jabbed before departing the White House — has been an inconvenient truth."

Those words are nice ways to say dumb as fuck, just admit it. So many ways to sugarcoat it, but "conspiracy theorists, Trump supporters, Q-Anon" etc. are all just nice ways of saying these people are so stupid it's actually hurting the rest of us now.

I'm not saying this to be snarky, sarcastic, or preachy. We are moving backwards as a society. More lines are drawn in the sand to divide us every day.

Trump deliberate undermine COVID-19 response

The Trump administration made 'deliberate efforts to undermine the nation's coronavirus response for political purposes,' report finds

Trump White House made 'deliberate efforts' to undermine Covid response, report says

Trump sought to 'undermine' COVID-19 response, says panel

A new report from the House Committee on Oversight and Reform — the main investigative body of the House of Representatives — found that the Trump administration undermined the country's COVID-19 pandemic response for political purposes.

Reminder that Trump refused to allow the federal government to buy PPE because blue states were the ones being affected.

Then, the blue states had to bid against each other, driving up the prices.

Then, Trump's administration seized shipments of PPE that the blue states had paid for, didn't pay the blue states for the seized shipments, and instead sold them (making a profit) to red states that supported Trump.

Trump saw COVID as a way to hurt states that didn't vote for him. This, despite the fact that there were Republicans in all of those states and many were dying. He didn't think of himself as President of the United States of America. He was President of the Red States of America. The blue states were to be punished for the "crime" of being blue.

Also remember that back in July 2020 Trump stripped the power to collect and publish Covid figures from the CDC and put the HHS in charge after putting Trump sycophant Michael Caputo in a key position within the HHS. Data would then only be given to the CDC after the HHS had processed it.

It was a very obvious attempt to downplay Covid for the sake of his reputation and mess with the figures and there was a noticeable drop in reported cases after this happened. It was confirmed a couple months later when CDC employees came out saying this was exactly what had happened.

I think that's mostly been forgotten about now amongst all the other shit he did but it's way too important to let it be forgotten. The article doesn't mention it though besides saying CDC briefings were blocked. It was a lot more insidious than that really.

The thing I will never ever get over is the hysteria this man inspires in his cult to almost comical results.

I say almost, because by undermining the pandemic efforts at every step AND peddling the idea the Chinese cooked it up in a lab with malicious intent, he created a vocal minority who believes two opposing things to dangerous effect—that the virus is harmless but also very serious because the Chinese wanted to use it as a bioweapon.

And of course they fail to see the irony that if the stuff about the Chinese is really true, then 2020 was just testing the hypothesis that all it would take to make the US a footnote in world history is enough scientists with a rudimentary understanding of molecular biology to facilitate another pandemic.

2020 proved that significant and vocal minority would HELP THEM DO IT by actively undermining any efforts to stop it. And they’d do it while proudly and unironically calling everyone else pussies and puppets.

Let’s just hope whichever hostile foreign actor or terrorist group who internalized the lesson of Covid-19 doesn’t use something really horrifying like smallpox or weaponized anthrax or plague next time.

Take away politics and ridiculous red state blue state labels- America 🇺🇸 has 50 states.

Chump intentionally caused the spread of disease in America's Largest Population Cities and the World's Greatest Economic Powerhouses such as New York City- his own hometown. It was deliberate and systemic malfeasance. Sociopathic. Craven. Crass.

Why would an American president sabotage America unless he was a Russian Asset? To sabotage our 🇺🇸 economy for the benefit of the Russian oil industry - is the only true answer. There was no other reason to harm Americans. Thusly oil went to Zero dollars per barrel while trump was crying hoax - and it will be gone by last last Easter. He even "saved the day" with his matchmaker deal between Saudi Arabia and Russia- around the time he was Literally Autographing the Dow Jones in the middle of the biggest stock market crash in Capitalist Free Market History.

I could go on and on. The president's Job is to protect interstate commerce. He had #1 job.

If all he did was introduce Americans to Dr Fauci and STFU from there- he would still be president. But he was the first American president to lose jobs in America. AMERICA 🇺🇸! HE LOST TOTAL JOBS IN 🇺🇸

The problem is their plan backfired. They were happy to let people die in urban centers because these people are largely liberals comprised of a high proportion of minorites. So they put out this anti-mask/antivaxx message. Now it's the rural areas being decimated and these are largely white conservatives. For every 1,000 COVID deaths something like 600-750 are conservatives. Now Republicans can't get their voters to mask up or get vaccinated because they're considered traitors to the party if they try.

It'd be funny if it weren't so sad and believe me, it's going to get a lot worse over here.

Trump passed around PP on how to End American Democracy

Trump’s White House Passed Around a PowerPoint on How to End American Democracy

"The House Select Committee to Investigate the Jan. 6 Attack on the Capitol on Thursday released slides from a PowerPoint calling for former President Trump to declare a national security emergency in order to delay the certification of the results of the 2020 election. The presentation was referred to in an email provided to the committee by Mark Meadows, the former White House chief of staff who’s had a rough couple of weeks, to say the least.

The revelation is the latest piece of evidence that Trump and his inner circle, including his allies in Congress, were very actively and very aggressively trying to overturn the results of the election, which Trump lost handily."

"The PowerPoint presentation, which spanned 38 pages and was titled “Election fraud, Foreign Interference & Options for 6 JAN,” was part of an email sent on Jan. 5, the day before the attack on the Capitol. The email pertained to a briefing that was to be provided “on the hill.” Hugo Lowell of The Guardian tweeted slides from the presentation on Thursday detailing a conspiracy theory-laden plan for Vice President Pence to install Republican electors in states “where fraud occurred,” and for Trump to declare a national emergency and for all electronic voting to be rendered invalid, citing foreign “control” of electronic voting systems."

This was a coup attempt. That was the actual intent.

https://web.archive.org/web/20210716135230if_/https://www.ingersolllockwood.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/07/voter-fraud.pdf

Take a look yourself.

Is there any reason the House Select Committee cant put together a one hour documentary with all of the most incriminating evidence and get all the streaming services and cable to run it? Heck, they can put it on YT for all I care, so long as we get eyes on it.

Because it seems to me that America isnt going to give a hoot about watching boring people testify, but they do love themselves a crime documentary.

As of Nov. 3rd  the problem Trump had to solve is this:  "How do I retain the presidency even though I lost the electoral college?"

Let's start by reverse engineering the problem...

How do I retain the presidency even though I lost the electoral college?

The only viable path to victory is to force a contingent election whereby congress decides who is the next president. (we've already done the math and you have the numbers to win.)

How do I force a contingent election?

At this point the only viable way is to make sure that the conditions required to certify the electoral college are not met.

How do I make sure those conditional requirements are not met?

If you can delay the certification for even 1 day then legally the conditional requirements will not have been met.

How do I delay the certification for even 1 day?

The VP is the lynch pin in to the electoral college process.  You have to keep the VP from completing the electoral college certification process on the 6th of January.

How do I keep the VP from completing the electoral college certification process on the 6th ofJanuary?

Get the VP to leave the capitol before the electoral college certification is complete.

How do I get the VP to leave the capitol before the electoral college certification is complete?

The VP has to want to leave the capitol.

How do I get the VP to want to leave the capitol?

If his life and the lives of his family were at risk he would want to leave the capitol.

How could his life and his family's lives be put at risk?

If he and his family were in the capitol building and it came under attack their lives would be at risk.

How could the capitol building come under attack?

A protest could easily get out of hand and become a riot aimed at the capitol building.

How can I make sure there is a protest on the day of the electoral college certification at the capitol?

Announce a rally to be scheduled on January 6th at the capitol and promote it heavily.

But Pence is my VP he's been 100% loyal to me. Even if there was a riot, why would the people attacking the capitol turn on Pence?

We would have to give the rioters a reason to turn on Pence.

How do we give the rioters a reason to turn on Pence?

Have a very publicized meeting just before Jan 6th and ask Pence to just overturn the electoral college even though the states already certified the results. All while knowing it's not within Pences constitutional powers and that he will not agree to do it. Then blame him very publicly when he actually doesn't do it. Blame him while the riot is happening even.

How do we know the protest will have enough time to turn into a riot that will cause the evacuation of Pence before the certification?

We will call friendly republican senators during the electoral college certification and get them to object as much as possible as to delay the certification as long as possible.

How do we make sure the protest will turn into a riot?

Hold a rally before the protest and really convince the crowd that if the electoral college is successful in certifying the election the country will be destroyed and they will have been cheated out of an election. Tell them it's time to kick ass and take names. Tell them it's time for trial by combat. Tell them it's their last chance to save America.

How do we know the rioters will invade the capitol?

We would need to communicate with protest organizers in the crowd that could lead and incite the rioters.

How would we communicate with both the friendly senators and the protest leaders in the crowd?

We would have people keep in touch with protest organizers on the ground and also set up a command center where calls could be made to senators and others.

How would I keep the national guard from deploying and stopping the riot before Pence evacuates?

You would have to place people in charge at the pentagon who will delay deployment of the national guard.

That sounds like it could actually work.

So the plan is...

Step 1. Convince a large number of supporters that mass election fraud caused the election to be stolen from them.

https://apnews.com/article/donald-trump-tweets-he-won-not-conceding-9ce22e9dc90577f7365d150c151a91c7

Step 2.Announce a rally to "Stop the Steal" scheduled on the same day at the same location where the electoral college certification is taking place. Have the rally end right before the certification begins.

https://www.fox5dc.com/news/trump-promises-wild-protest-in-dc-on-jan-6-the-day-congress-to-count-electoral-votes

Step 3. Place leadership at the pentagon who will delay the deployment of the national guard.

https://www.npr.org/2021/03/03/973292523/dod-took-hours-to-approve-national-guard-request-during-capitol-riot-commander-s

Step 4. Before the rally, setup a communications command center at the Willard Hotel.

https://www.washingtonpost.com/investigations/willard-trump-eastman-giuliani-bannon/2021/10/23/c45bd2d4-3281-11ec-9241-aad8e48f01ff_story.html

Step 5. Right before the rally, have a meeting with Pence and ask him to ignore the electoral college results and send the election to congress. The morning of the certification before the rally send out a tweet again encouraging Pence to hand the election to trump. (knowing full well he wont do it.)

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/white-house/trump-leans-harder-pence-flip-election-results-n1252849

Step 6. At the rally, have speakers use very violent rhetoric to really stir up the crowd and then direct them to march on the capitol.

https://www.npr.org/2021/02/10/966396848/read-trumps-jan-6-speech-a-key-part-of-impeachment-trial

Step 7. During the riot tweet that Pence "didn't have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and Constitution."

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-pence-tweet-capitol-riot-impeachment-trial_n_6024b281c5b6b295bc045640

Step 8. In the command center where calls are already going out to senators to get them to object to delay certification, begin having people communicate with protest organizers on the ground to lead and incite the crowd to invade the capitol and turn on Pence. (the capitol is breached and "hang mike pence!" chants begin)

https://www.mercurynews.com/2021/01/11/capitol-assault-a-more-sinister-attack-than-first-appeared

Step 9. Watch and wait for Pence to evacuate the Capitol to escape the invading rioters calling for his death.

https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-ignored-plea-stop-capitol-rioters-kept-watching-tv-book-2021-9

Step 10. Once Pence has left the Capitol and the conditional requirements to certify the electoral college are not met, argue that legally the election has no alternative but to be declared a contingent election. Whereby congress would then have to reconvene and vote to elect the next president instead of voting to confirm the outcome of the electoral college.

https://www.findlaw.com/voting/how-u-s--elections-work/what-is-the-contingent-election-and-voting-process-.html

Trump retains the presidency.

Luckily step 10 didnt happen. It all almost did. If Pence had just evacuated Trump would be president right now. Pence literally got all the way to the car and then refused to get in. That's how close it came.

https://www.newsweek.com/mike-pence-refused-car-secret-service-capitol-riot-book-1610326

January 6th was the culmination of a premeditated plot to force the evacuation of the VP from the capitol and stop the certification of the electoral college which would then force a contingent election that would result in Trump retaining the presidency. This scenario did not play out by chance.

The fact that trump made so many moves to ensure his desired outcome within the 64 days between losing the election on Nov 3rd and the electoral college certification on Jan 6th indicates that this was all premeditated. The decision to have the rally at the exact time and place to stop the certification. Ensuring there would be plenty of people to protest and riot. The placement of pentagon leadership to delay the national guard deployment. Giving the rioters time to achieve the desired goal. His very public meeting to ask Pence to deny the electoral college. His tweet during the riot letting everyone know Pence didn't do it so the rioters had a reason to turn on Pence. The setup of the Willard war room ahead of time for communications. The fact that Trump waited so long to do anything after the violence started.

After Nov 3rd Trump knew there was a very limited number of ways to retain the presidency with any shred of legal legitimacy. One way would be to get the secretaries of state in battleground states to change vote tallies in Trumps favor due to unproven voter fraud and declare Trump the winner of those states. He tried that, it didn't work. Trump was then left with literally one single path to victory. Stop the certification of the electoral college and force a contingent election.

Trump knew Pence was the lynch pin in the electoral college certification process. All Trump needed was for Pence to evacuate the capitol on Jan 6th and Trump knew that and did everything in his power to make that exact thing happen.

Trump and company put thousands of lives at risk. From civilians that were his own supporters, to law enforcement, to duly elected members of congress, to his own Vice President of the United States, all in a bid to remain in power.

Pro-Trump counties now have far higher COVID death rates

Pro-Trump counties now have far higher COVID death rates. Misinformation is to blame

"Since May 2021, people living in counties that voted heavily for Donald Trump during the last presidential election have been nearly three times as likely to die from COVID-19 as those who live in areas that went for now-President Biden. That's according to a new analysis by NPR that examines how political polarization and misinformation are driving a significant share of the deaths in the pandemic."

I'm angry. They were trusted fucking leaders (to their constituents) and instead of leading, they pandered and killed their citizens, some of which are my family in another state. No, I don't agree with them, but I didn't want them to die because they are easily duped. This is genocide at some level, especially when you have many of these Republican leaders themselves getting the vaccines while investing in things like Regeneron, a COVID treatment, while being against vaccine mandates. Or having differing views of the vaccine depending on your audience, indicating that some of them are well aware of what would result in less deaths for their people. Do they not have some kind of obligation to not lie, when the lies result in people dying to a contagious disease? Can blue states sue red states for their policies when it caused issues in blue states, like when people in Idaho came to Washington and Oregon for medical services and started to overwhelm the hospitals there? Can people sue these political leaders as individuals, can they get jail time, will we ever get fucking justice for this disgusting display of leadership?

They went on TV amplifying these talking points when they should have been the counternarrative. It didn't negatively affect most of the leaders: they didn't die; their families didn't die; their investments went up. The poor people were the ones who died. Look at the houses with Trump flags, the vast majority need new roofs and siding, some look like they should be condemned.

And Q tells them that pushing vaccines is how the left is killing off the right - because the left knows the right won't do it solely because the left is asking them to do it.

I still find it funny that conspiracy theory believers are so adamant about rejecting the vaccine.

Because even using their logic about how the government is an evil cabal and only "sheep" do what they are told, then by their own logic the government would want to protect those sheep. Why would an evil government secretly be poisoning all their loyal sheeple followers?

Trump supporters love Trump and believe everything he says.

Trump takes credit for inventing the vaccine and getting it distributed.

Trump gets vaccinated, although tries to hide the fact.

It comes out that he is vaccinated, and he eventually encourages his followers to get vaccinated, multiple times.

His followers say no to the vaccine because the vaccine was created by Democrats, Fauci, Bill Gates, aliens, tentacle monsters, or whatever stupid conspiracy of the day is out. They think the vaccine was invented to kill, mind control, or whatever stupid conspiracy of the day is out. Keep in mind Trump said he created the vaccine.

Trump followers still love Trump and say they only trust him, except apparently on his suggestion they get the vaccine he invented, that his followers think some devious force invented to kill them.

Many more Trump supporters die because they don't listen to Trump on this one thing. They double down on dumb and continue to listen to bullshit peddlers like Joe Rogan instead of people who actually know what they're talking about, like most doctors.

Stupid is as stupid dies.

Trump broke his policy promises

Chris Christie says Trump broke his policy promises: 'The wall isn't built. Obamacare is still there. We didn't get an infrastructure package.'

"Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, widely viewed as a potential 2024 presidential contender, said former President Donald Trump's administration didn't deliver on its most important policy priorities.

Christie said Trump failed to build a wall on the southern US border, repeal the Affordable Care Act, and pass an infrastructure bill, despite making these promises central to his 2016 campaign. "

Hillary wasn't "locked up"

But half of Team Trump's Campaign staff was for all sorts of crimes they admitted to...

https://www.cnn.com/2021/07/21/politics/tom-barrack-trump-arrested/index.html

Trump didn't do shit except feed the flames of division. He didn't see the 60% of Americans who disagreed with him as political opposition, he saw them as his personal enemies and, by extension, enemies of the "nation" and attacked them as such.

I would say he was ineffective but that wouldn't give him enough credit. He'll forever be the person who did the most harm to the United States of America in our history.

Biden has accomplished more than Trump in one year than he did in 4 - which is absolutely nothing except for a tax cut that saved me like $100.

He did more than nothing. He introduced the National Strategy for the COVID-19 Response and Pandemic Preparedness, he brought forward the $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package, signed executive orders to strengthen the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, end the so-called Muslim travel ban and institute a 100-day moratorium on deportations of immigrants at risk of removal, those orders also halted the construction of the fence at the border, he rejoined the Paris Climate Agreement, he cancelled the Keystone XL pipeline permits, he further deferred student loan payments with 0% interest, in an effort to prevent and combat discrimination on the basis of gender identity or sexual orientation her signed orders to repeal the Trump administration's transgender military ban and ordering every federal agency to review racial and gender equality in their programs, and also signed four orders to advance fair housing, reform the incarceration system and reduce private prisons, reaffirm the U.S. government's commitment to engage in consultation with tribal governments, and fight xenophobia against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders.

That was all done in his first week.

Trump Tried to Kill Biden with COVID-19

Trump Knowingly Had Covid in Presidential Debate

"It turns out that Trump knew he had COVID at the first presidential debate, but lied about it. And then covered it up."

You mean the one where he showed up late to avoid the "mandatory" covid test? That debate?

You mean the one where he pitched a tantrum to have the shield between candidates removed? That debate?

You mean the one where he constantly mocked and ridiculed Biden wearing a mask? That debate?

He knew in February 2020 how dangerous and contagious it was, and then lied to the country about it. We have the tapes.

Then they lied and insisted he tested positive negative in order to have masks removed and plexiglass barriers barred from the stage.

Given Biden's age group, this was effectively an attempted assassination of a political rival, live on tv.

We have motive, intent, and action. He should absolutely be in cuffs right now.

Trump May Have Infected Gold Star Families, White House Staff, Others, Per His Former Chief

"Former president Donald Trump knowingly put at risk the lives of Gold Star families, wealthy donors at a Minnesota fundraiser, then-Democratic nominee Joe Biden, White House staff, the crews of Air Force One, White House reporters, and others, according to a new book from his former chief of staff.

Trump finally admitted he had contracted COVID-19 just after midnight on Oct. 2, barely 24 hours following a campaign rally in Minnesota where he looked peaked and cut short his typically 90 minutes of rambling remarks to just 45."

For the folks who have a hard time understanding virtue... Trump knowingly had the virus. And had an event scheduled with the widows and children of deceased soldiers. And instead of enduring a MODICUM of embarrassment by announcing he was postponing the event to protect the safety of the guests. Rather than risk a SLIVER of scrutiny over his diagnosis... he kept the scheduled event with war widows and families.

You can say "he DidN'T wAnT tO disaPPOint Them!" But deep down I think you know what his motivations are. Not to mention he could have simply rescheduled them.

He is a wretched vile human being who, thank God, suffered humiliating defeat. May he soon find himself in prison as well.

There was an interview with an audience where he was directly asked when was his first positive test, and he never answered it directly even after multiple tries. Instead he squirmed and danced around the subject saying "I was feeling fine," "I can't remember," and "I did tests all the time" (I'm paraphrasing here).

It's easy to tell when he's lying. He glances at the camera, makes a fake smiling face like a joker and changes the subject.

Trump knowingly had COVID, infected gold star families and then tried to pass off the blame.

It's important to keep hammering how horrible a person Trump is because plenty of Americans are still in love with him. Trump has a serious chance in 2024.

Trump colluded with capitol rioters

Trump called aides hours before Capitol riot to discuss how to stop Biden victory

"Hours before the deadly attack on the US Capitol this year, Donald Trump made several calls from the White House to top lieutenants at the Willard hotel in Washington and talked about ways to stop the certification of Joe Biden’s election win from taking place on 6 January.

The former president first told the lieutenants his vice-president, Mike Pence, was reluctant to go along with the plan to commandeer his largely ceremonial role at the joint session of Congress in a way that would allow Trump to retain the presidency for a second term."

People will still vote for him, even though he is unequivocally an enemy of the United States.

Not even al Qaeda has damaged the US as much as he has.

Trump killed far more Americans than Al Qaeda ever did.

Trump only made the video telling people to go home once he realized that taking over the Capitol would not reverse the election. I am sure he would have let it go on if there was a chance it would work.

If you bring this up to someone who voted for Trump they just brush it off like it's no big deal. The man begged a state to find enough votes to beat Biden. I mean just let that sink in for a second. In a country known for democracy the outgoing president is trying to literally steal an election and none of his supporters have an issue with that.

He didn't beg. He demanded from a position of power. It's even worse.

This was a coup attempt right here in the USA. It’s a coup attempt bc not only did the president try to stop the transfer of power, law enforcement was in on it, Flynn’s brother at the DoD was in on it stopping the national guard from going into the Capitol, and clearly republicans in congress were in on it. That’s police, military, the legislative branch and the executive branch. That’s literally a coup attempt. Better get the USA to go and bring that American democracy to the Americans. It’s stuff like this we have used as justification to invade other countries.

RNC pays Grifter Trumps legal bills

RNC using donor funds to pay Donald Trump’s legal bills in N.Y. criminal probe

"The Republican National Committee is paying some of former President Donald Trump's personal legal bills in a New York criminal investigation examining his company's business practices, the RNC acknowledged on Monday.

The RNC paid $121,670 to the law firm of Trump attorney Ronald Fischetti after a request from Trump's team over the summer, according to The Washington Post. The RNC's executive committee approved the payments in recent weeks, a source told the outlet. Though some in the party have urged RNC chair Ronna McDaniel to show more independence from the former president, her allies told the Post that "Trump remains the biggest fundraising draw for the party, and it is important to stay in his good graces.""

I'm not sure what's more pathetic, the fact that Trump won't pay is own bills, that the GOP will, or that GOP voters don't care.

How can GOP voters be OK with this? I'd love for one to comment.

The GOP leaders aren't dumb about this tbh, regardless of the legality. Their party lives and dies by Trump and the only reason they can keep him in line right now is through paying his bills and having every talking head constantly sucking him off. The moment they piss off Trump and he decides to make his own political party, the GOP loses every election for the next 20 years and they know it. I doubt they understood who they were getting into bed with in 2015 but they're stuck with him now. He has too much of a cult of personality for them to break away.

Biggest graft in American history since 1776. Legal bills are just few drops in the bucket. The real graft is those emails going out, those texts, those social media posts that “Trump 2024” is coming. He is going to announce his candidacy “soon.” He needs your help to “MAGA-again.” Biden’s Justice Department is going after his ilk (read Bannon etc.). We need to support them all. Click here to donate $20. If you donate $100, you will get a [Made in China] MAGA hat that costs 50c to make.

They have been averaging $14million/MONTH fundraising. It’s a presidential-level juggernaut.

The irony is he is raising this money from the people he hates the most, and he is fooling them. He is never going to run again because his fragile ego can’t even think of losing a 2nd time. He likes being a kingmaker. Everybody goes to Mar-a-Laro to kiss the ring and he writes them a check out of his fundraising haul.

He won’t leave this kind of ginormous money behind with a following of 50+ million souls and end up in a political shit show in DC like last 4 years.

The RNC paid more than $121,000 towards former President Donald Trump's personal legal bills as he faces a criminal investigation in New York

"The Republican National Committee put more than $121,000 of funding towards former President Donald Trump's legal fees as he faces a criminal investigation over his financial practices in New York.

In October, the committee made two payments totaling $121,670 to the law firm of Ronald Fischetti, a criminal defense attorney Trump hired in April of this year amid the years-long investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney's office into the Trump Organization and the former president's business dealings.

One payment of $58,240 was made on October 6 and another payment of $63,430 was made on October 13, per FEC filings seen by Insider.

Though the party's executive committee approved the payments in recent weeks, the requests for the legal funds came over the summer, a person familiar with the matter told The Washington Post."

This isn't the first time the RNC has footed the bill for Trump's legal fees. In 2017, Trump used campaign funds and funding from the RNC to pay his legal bills amid the investigation into alleged Russian interference in the US election.

It is because he has threatened to leave the GOP, take 85% of the Party with him, and leave it in tatters that they are doing this. This is why they’re sucking his D. Now and forever. While Trump doing this successfully would be hilarious and sad, it would also be really, really scary. I could talk all day long about the hypothetical alternative history that branches out from him actually going for it and doing it officially!

Trump's COVID-legacy

The Trump White House silenced health experts trying to warn the public about COVID-19, new testimony says

"The Trump administration blocked the CDC from warning the public about the worsening COVID-19 pandemic, according to testimony from US health officials.

Leading figures in the US government response to the pandemic described struggling to get their message out because of interference from Trump officials in interviews with a House committee investigating how the pandemic was handled."

The fact this went from nothing to the 6th deadliest pandemic in recorded history proves this. They fucked up so hard it's unbelievable. All Trump and the rest of the west had to do was not politicize it and they could have beat this shit back like the previous SARS-CoV virus but no, it became something both political and egotistical because there was a moron in charge too stupid to realize he could have became, in a way, a hero. Instead, 700'000+ Americans have died for no reason and upwards (edit: potentially based on modelling, official records put the death toll at <5 million) of 20 million around the globe. Historians in the future will have a lot to say about what went wrong.

Trump sucked as a leader for many reasons, but one I still can’t believe was real, is his inability to bring opposing sides together to unite vs a common enemy. If he was in charge during 9/11 he’d start to blame Democrats and liberals for the attacks instead of uniting together vs a common terrorist threat.

Covid is such a softball issue that has no humans being the bad guys. It’s just humans vs Covid. It effects liberals and conservatives just the same, so why not appeal to liberals with uniting actions? What a dumb ass. He could’ve sailed into a 2nd term.

Edit: wow! Since I’m getting death threats in my inbox over this comment I’d like to say to any Trump supporters who are offended by this, I’m sorry you don’t like Making America Great Again by removing Trump from office and reclaiming conservatism from politicians bought by communist Russians. Sad. But you still can join the patriots side. It’s not to late to be an actual American.

So where is the backlash? So many conservatives are dying from this disease; why aren't they railing against the people (right-wing news, Don Trump, et al) that lied to them about the virus, the vaccination, and the masks?

No joke, they would rather die than admit they were ever wrong.

I'll never understand why Trump's COVID performance isn't the scandal of the century. I've seen serious people give him a pass, as if he only said some goofy things but largely did what anyone else would during an unpredictable time. The man has tens of thousands of deaths on his hands. Hillary Clinton testified for a dozen hours after Benghazi, and yet we'll never see Trump answer a question under oath about the Americans he left to die. Fuck Donald Trump and anyone who loves him.

Upwards of ~~a million~~ more than 1.5 million US deaths when all is said and done and the numbers are closely reevaluated.  There is general agreement that the true numbers are undercounted and that red states deliberately fudged the numbers to hide the deaths in their states.  This is systemic mass murder on a large scale, and Trump is likely guilty of Republican democide and crimes against humanity.  The U.N. should probably open up a case.  Specific incidents like the Tulsa Trump rally are extensively documented on a granular level and resulted in the deaths of high profile people; it shouldn’t be difficult to put together an international case against Trump and his enablers.

Trump Encouraged staff to break the law

Trump Encouraged Staff To Break The Law, Says Former Press Secretary

"Former President Donald Trump encouraged staffers to feel free to break the law, his onetime press secretary Stephanie Grisham told CNN’s Jim Acosta on Saturday.

Grisham’s revelations came just days after a federal investigative report revealed that at least 13 former Trump officials violated the Hatch Act by intermingling their government duties with campaigning."

“In the White House, when we would get Hatch Act violations, that was a badge of honor,” Grisham told Acosta.

“It was a joke in the White House. The president used to say to us, ‘You know who’s in charge of the Hatch Act? It’s me, [so] go ahead, say whatever you want to say.’”

And somehow they claim to be the party of "law and order."

It's alright that Grisham's coming out with these revelations now, sure—but come on, she's no innocent. She's capitalizing on her former position. They're all slimy, scummy people.

We were basically a coin flip away from being in a constitutional crisis on Jan 6th. The general public and the media have seemed to take the approach of “well he did try to shoot you, but he missed! So it couldn’t have been attempted murder, can’t we all just get along?” We narrowly dodged a huge bullet, and instead of holding the people who did it accountable, or reinforcing our body armor, we’ve allowed them to strip any protections we might have had and walk free preparing to do it again. We’ve also let them memory-hole the entire thing and go through several rounds of gaslighting-it wasn’t trump supporters, it was Antifa! It wasn’t trump supporters, it was FBI agitators! And if it WAS trump supporters, they were peaceful! And how dare you lock them up and treat them like terrorists! Of course they would do what they did, our democracy was on the line because the democrats stole the election! We must infiltrate every polling place and state election structure to make sure it doesn’t happen again (aka to steal it for ourselves).

I generally knew before the election things were going to be really bad, but everyone kept telling me what couldn’t happen because of the rules in place etc. Bullshit. Those rules are only as good as the people willing to enforce them. It’s like saying, “well don’t worry, he’s not gonna kill you because it’s against the law!” It’s uh, not the guarantor of safety you think it is. You still might get killed despite the person knowing the consequences, and what if the person killing you is close friends with the police, or are the police themselves? Then what do you do when nobody will uphold or enforce the law? You’re fucked.

When Trump forcefully declared he won on election night, that sealed it for me that we’d be headed towards a steep decline. “Lol but he didn’t win, he’s delusional. Look at Sidney Powell and Rudy making these ridiculous claims! Lol 4seasons landscaping!” Great, they’re playing you perfectly. You know the truth, so their obvious bullshit claims aren’t taken seriously by you or anyone who does. Meanwhile, they have a radicalized base of people who literally only believe what THEY say; we no longer have a way to prove these ridiculous things wrong to like 30+% of the country, because any information contradicting what they’re told by the RW media sphere and Trump is inherently viewed as false…

Leading up to the election, I actually expected them to do a ton of false flag stuff as far as magically discovering a ton of discarded mail in ballots for trump, or having people intentionally commit voter fraud for Biden/have some sort of conflict in swing states to sow doubt and advance the fraud narrative. Turns out, they didn’t even need to do that because they could just make shit up! They didn’t even need to stage a false reality, because reality is just whatever they say it is now. They look at voter fraud by democrats the same way we do climate change; I haven’t really looked at any specific studies about it lately, but I just know there’s such a general consensus about it that I comfortably assume those experts are correct and it’s happening. And the weather trends support it. For them, all of their “trusted” sources and politicians told them the election was stolen, so that’s good enough for them; they don’t need to actually see the evidence for themselves.

They’re responding to a phony election fraud issue and CRT with the fervor we should be responding to voter rights, ACTUALLY securing elections, and climate change. We are soon going to have states where a Republican house majority is all but guaranteed due to gerrymandering. Dems will have to win close to 60% of the votes just to get half the seats. They will have unfettered control of election certification (because there’s no filibuster at the state level) and since we use the Electoral College, there are always going to be close states that will be accused of being hotbeds of fraud and there’s some reason why they can’t certify a Democratic win. They might allow some democratic wins to go unchecked just to create an air of normalcy, but you can bet your ass that a GOP controlled House is NOT going to seat a Democratic president in 2024 (if they’re even able to win in the first place). Heavy red states are sanitizing their education systems such that kids will have a warped understanding of our history, under the guise of “banning CRT.”

So we’ve got curriculums changing based on fake outrage, voter suppression + elections being subverted based on fake fraud allegations, and an embarrassing national tragedy that could’ve been a wake up call is now viewed as either a peaceful protest or a justified attack by tens of millions of people, with the most popular cable news host doing a series about how it was a false flag to create a war on domestic terror to punish Christian Trump supporters. (Not to mention these same people basically constructed an entire worldview about a deadly pandemic solely to absolve Dear Leader of any blame for mishandling it). There’s uh, really just not any realistic roadmap for getting out of this that doesn’t involve things getting progressively MUCH worse first. We could’ve taken the difficult, but necessary steps toward accountability right after Jan 6th/inauguration, but instead they wanted to pretend we could save democracy by working with the people who just tried to kill it. Now any attempts at accountability will be seen as partisan witch hunts and oppression of “regular Americans,” and just serve as a further rallying cry/radicalization tool.

People were lulled into feeling safe because Biden took office, or thinking that Trump was the only real threat. But it’s honestly hard to think of a single area of our democracy/fabric of society that isn’t trending in a very dangerous direction right now :/

Trumpsters on a roll

Republicans Saying Trump Likely to Be Reinstated by Year's End Jumps to 28 Percent

"Anew poll found that more Republicans now think that Donald Trump will likely be reinstated as president before the end of 2021.

The survey by the Economist/YouGov was conducted between November 6 and 9 and surveyed 1,500 Americans. One of the questions that respondents answered was: "How likely or unlikely do you think it is that Donald Trump will be reinstated as President before the end of 2021?"

Thirteen percent of Republicans surveyed in November said that it is "very likely" that the former president would be reinstated, compared to only 11 percent of Republicans who said so in an October poll."

How they think it will happen.

  1. Republicans take the House and Senate in the November elections
  2. They appoint Trump speaker of the House
  3. They impeach both Biden and Harris, with removals from office the same day
  4. Based on how succession works, The speaker of the house becomes President.

It’s fucking stupid, but there was a thread on /r/conservative suggesting this a while back. Some of them actually believe it’s possible. The sad thing is that if #1 happens, which is quite possible, I can absolutely see the impeachments happening.

"new poll found that more Republicans now think that Donald Trump will likely be reinstated as president before the end of 2021."

The mid-terms are not until Nov of 2022 and the new Congress won't be sworn in till 2023. So the soonest what you describe could be possible would be 2023. The poll reflects Republicans view about this year, 2021. So while what you describe is probably something many Conservatives discuss it isn't the source of the delusion outlines by this poll.

Article 1, Section 3, Clause 6 lays out the 2/3rds majority required to convict. Changing the impeachment rules means changing the constitution.

Trump plan on Autocracy

‘Terrifying for American democracy’: is Trump planning for a 2024 coup?

"At 1.35pm on 6 January, the top Republican in the US Senate, Mitch McConnell, stood before his party and delivered a dire warning.

If they overruled the will of 81 million voters by blocking Joe Biden’s certification as president in a bid to snatch re-election for the defeated candidate, Donald Trump, “it would damage our Republic forever”.

Five minutes before he started speaking, hundreds of Trump supporters incited by the then president’s false claim that the 2020 election had been stolen broke through Capitol police lines and were storming the building. McConnell’s next remark has been forgotten in the catastrophe that followed – the inner sanctums of America’s democracy defiled, five people dead, and 138 police officers injured."

This coup is being ensured in state houses across the country, as they pass laws allowing legislators to reject the results of an election, for any arbitrary purpose.

Are state legislators really seeking power to overrule the voters?

"The candidates are being aggressively promoted for secretary of state positions – the top official that oversees elections in US states. Should any one of them succeed, they would hold enormous sway over the running of the 2024 presidential election in their state, including how the votes would be counted.

In Arizona, another critical swing state, many Trump allies are running for secretary of state, including Shawna Bolick. She was the architect of a bill introduced to the Arizona state legislature that would have given lawmakers the ability to overturn the will of voters and impose their own choice for president. Under Bolick’s bill, legislators would be able to overrule the official count and put forward an alternate slate of electors in the name of the loser by dint of a simple majority vote, no explanation needed."

Trump threatened to leave GOP

Trump told RNC chair he was leaving GOP to create new party, says new book

"n an angry conversation on his final day as president, Donald Trump told the chairwoman of the Republican National Committee he was leaving the GOP and creating his own political party -- and that he didn't care if the move would destroy the Republican Party, according to a new book by ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl."

So it's pretty obvious that Trump doesn't give a shit about the GOP, and only cares about their ability to provide access to fundraising... and the GOP doesn't give a shit about Trump other than his ability to get out the GOP vote, and fundraise.

I wish GOP voters could see that for what it is, but they're too braindead.

"But, more significant, the RNC threatened to render Trump's most valuable political asset worthless," Karl writes, referring to "the campaign's list of the email addresses of forty million Trump supporters."

"It's a list Trump had used to generate money by renting it to candidates at a steep cost," says the book. "The list generated so much money that party officials estimated that it was worth about $100 million."

It is Trump's list, and he makes a ton of money renting it to other GOP candidates. If he left, the GOP was going to stop allowing GOP candidates to rent it from him, so it wouldn't make him that money anymore.

Trump Threatened to Leave GOP Until They Reminded Him They Funded His Lawsuits

"Former President Donald Trump threatened the head of the Republican National Committee (RNC) with his departure from the party after some of its members refused to back his false claims of fraud in the 2020 election, a new book reports."

He’s scared of losing the only money he had to fund these asinine lawsuits because it’s not his money. He’s definitely broke. His donations are maintaining his debt payments and he has nothing else.

The only bank that holds a note is Deutchebank.

I can’t imagine another western bank who’d have touched him in the last three decades.

I listened to a podcast called the asset. It’s with a bunch of letter agency and state dept people. They said sometime in the 90s it became strange that trump was able to still build in Manhattan bc no banks would go near him and other developers wanted nothing to do with him because bankers thought he was a cartoon character. Yeah that’s been a thing for a couple decades at least. Only deutche bank would loan to him and that’s where Justice Kennedy’s son was director of the dept that gave trump his loans. And later there was a whistleblower who claimed to have papers showing that Russian oligarchs guaranteed those loans.

WAY before the election, Trump’s idiot son made a comment to a golf magazine about being backed by Russia.

“So when I got in the cart with Eric,” Dodson says, “as we were setting off, I said, ‘Eric, who’s funding? I know no banks—because of the recession, the Great Recession—have touched a golf course. You know, no one’s funding any kind of golf construction. It’s dead in the water the last four or five years.’ And this is what he said. He said, ‘Well, we don’t rely on American banks. We have all the funding we need out of Russia.’ I said, ‘Really?’ And he said, ‘Oh, yeah. We’ve got some guys that really, really love golf, and they’re really invested in our programs. We just go there all the time.’ Now that was three years ago, so it was pretty interesting.

SOURCE: Vanity Fair

When Trump bought Mar-A-Lago, he saw a coat of arms belonging to Joseph Edward Davies, husband to the owner of the estate, Marjorie Merriweather Post.

Trump liked soo much he just took it as his own coat of arms.

Well, technically he didn’t just take it, he changed the colors from red and white to a gaudy black and gold, he added a knight above the crest (for no reason, those are supposed to be awarded) and literally, I kid not, eliminated the word “integritas” from the banner below the shield, and replaced it with “TRUMP.”

SOURCE

You can’t make that up.

Plagiarizing someone else’s coat of arms is as shallow as it is hilarious, especially when you literally remove the word “integrity.”

Trump plasters that all over his golf courses and hotels playing it off like it’s real and not someone else’s thing he put his name on. (Recurring theme in his life).

But the interesting part brings us back to Scotland. Scotland takes heritage seriously. Clans, Tartans, and Coats of Arms are diligently recorded and protected.

Well, they made him change his family crest at his estates in Scotland since they’re not fucking his.

Rather than admit defeat, he unironically maintains two family crests, one “main” one that he plagiarized and uses everywhere, and another one he uses exclusively in Scotland because they won’t let him use the other one.

Trump is on a roll

Trump May Be About To Learn That Being Ex-President Doesn’t Carry Much Weight In Court

"Trump, who tried to overthrow American democracy to remain in power despite losing the 2020 election, faces a federal court hearing Thursday on his request to block the National Archives from handing over hundreds of pages of documents from him and his White House staff regarding his actions leading up to and on the day of the assault on the U.S. Capitol."

People should read this thread. It explains in detail why Trump is gonna lose this very badly and very soon:

https://twitter.com/Teri_Kanefield/status/1455211475966910465

And not to mention: https://cdn.factcheck.org/UploadedFiles/Johnson_TrumpEpstein_Lawsuit.pdf

"Plaintiff was subject to acts of rape, sexual misconduct, criminal sexual acts, sexual abuse, forcible touching, assault, battery, intentional and reckless infliction of emotional distress, duress, false imprisonment, and threats of death and/or serious bodily injury by the Defendants that took place at several parties during the summer months of 1994."

Who are the Defendants? Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey E. Epstein.

Plaintiff is missing.

TRUMP’S ODDS OF ESCAPING CRIMINAL CHARGES IN GEORGIA DO NOT LOOK GOOD

"One of the most infuriating qualities about former president Donald J. Trump is his habit of lying about everything all the time. Another is his total disregard for human life. But probably the number one most enraging thing about him is his lifelong habit of escaping any and all consequences for being what the U.S. penal code section 219(a)(5)(a) defines as “a corrupt motherfucker.” Whether it was attempting to extort Ukraine, lying to the public about COVID-19, reportedly not paying his bills, or allegedly raping a woman in a department store—which he of course denies—the man has somehow consistently avoided any and all repercussions, save for a financial settlement here and a financial settlement there. On the other hand, his luck on that front may be running out!"

Famously, Trump's ex-wife said he kept a copy of Hitler's speeches by the bed. Charming.

Georgia official: Trump call to ‘find’ votes was a threat

"Donald Trump was threatening Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger when he asked him to help “find” enough votes to overturn his loss in Georgia to Democratic President Joe Biden, Raffensperger writes in a new book.

The book, “Integrity Counts,” was released Tuesday. In it, Raffensperger depicts a man who defied pressure from Trump to alter election results, but also reveals a public official settling political scores as he seeks to survive a hostile Republican primary environment and win reelection in 2022.

An engineer who grew wealthy before running for office, Raffensperger recounts in his book the struggle in Georgia that followed Biden’s narrow victory, including death threats texted to his wife, an encounter with men who he says may have been staking out his suburban Atlanta home, and being escorted out of the Georgia capitol on Jan. 6 as a handful of right-wing protesters entered the building on the same day many more protesters stormed the U.S. Capitol."

The GA state law on elections seems almost perfectly designed to make what Trump did illegal. He didn’t say “I believe I won by X number of votes, go find X number of votes, I want X number of votes to count!” Which, while indefensible for the President to say, is possibly more of a gray area.

Instead he said “I believe I won by X number of votes, but I only need you to find and write down Y number of votes.”

Asking someone to write down an election result you believe to be the wrong number is a felony in Georgia. If he thought the right number was Y votes, he can only ever ask for those votes to be found and counted. Since he said, literally on the same call, that he believed the number was Y but that he only needs X votes to win is clearly fraud.

Congrats Republicans, we found the election fraud in Georgia you were all so worried about.

This call was completely overshadowed by 1/6, and the call is so long that people usually only take away a few lines from it. I highly suggest everyone attempts to listen to it once, because the key quotes do not paint the full picture of how much Trump was threatening and pressuring an election official to overturn the results

I've tried to summarize it the best I can:

Trump: Hi Brad. It's pretty clear that we won. You can see it by rally size. We won. (suggests 2 conspiracies). An accurate number is coming out. The number is large. We will have it for you. It's much larger than the margin I lost by. You agree right? Everyone agrees.

We'll get you a number. (conspiracy theory) It's very sad. (conspiracy theory) (conspiracy theory)

(conspiracy theory) (conspiracy theory)

(four more conspiracy theories)

(10 more conspiracy theories)

I saw you on television today, Brad, and you said you found nothing wrong. You know, and I know, I didn't lose. People are saying it was the highest vote ever. There was no way. We won everything.

(more conspiracies - it's seriously hard to count) I won, by a lot.

Other states will be flipping to us shortly. (conspiracies about PA and MI)

And so we won. Easily. All the conspiratorial evidence is coming.

(Meadows pathetically attempts to babysit)

(Raffensperger defends himself)

Trump: We have a big issue with Dominion in your state. We haven't felt we needed to go there, but maybe we do. We won the state. So we could go through an investigation into voting machines in your state.

I think I won by half a million votes. (more conspiracies) You could tell by our rallies that we won. Brad, you know we won. The people of Georgia are angry. The people of the country are angry. We won.

(More back and forth)

(More conspiracies) The evidence for conspiracies is coming out. We won.

Brad, you don't have an accurate election. Not even close. Why don't you want to find the accurate numbers?

You got outsmarted at every step. I don't know what's going to happen Monday or Tuesday, but it's very scary to people. It's a disaster. They are laughing at you behind your back, Brad. They are laughing at you.

It's illegal, and they are going to find it out. It's a criminal offense, and that's a big risk to you.

So look. All i want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes.

I have to get. I have to find 12,000 votes. I won the state. You said there was no criminality, and it's very dangerous for you to say that. Why won't you find them?

So what are we going to do here, folks? I only need 11,000 votes. Fellas, I need 11,000 votes. But, but I’m just curious, why wouldn’t, why do you keep fighting this thing? It just doesn’t make sense. We’re way over the 17,779, right? We’re way over that number. Your lawyer doesn't know anything.

I've been watching you, and you don't care about anything. You are wrong. You and your governor are wrong. The governor is a schmuck. People are angry in Georgia.

Well, under law, you’re not allowed to give faulty election results, okay? You’re not allowed to do that. And that’s what you done. This is a faulty election result. And honestly, this should go very fast. You should meet tomorrow because you have a big election coming up, and because of what you’ve done to the president — you know, the people of Georgia know that this was a scam — and because of what you’ve done to the president, a lot of people aren’t going out to vote. And a lot of Republicans are going to vote negative because they hate what you did to the president. Okay? They hate it. And they’re going to vote. And you would be respected. Really respected, if this thing could be straightened out before the election. You have a big election coming up on Tuesday. And I think that it is really is important that you meet tomorrow and work out on these numbers. Because I know, Brad, that if you think we’re right, I think you’re going to say, and I’m not looking to blame anybody, I’m just saying, you know, and, you know, under new counts, and under new views, of the election results, we won the election. You know? It’s very simple. We won the election. As the governors of major states and the surrounding states said, there is no way you lost Georgia. As the Georgia politicians say, there is no way you lost Georgia. Nobody. Everyone knows I won it by hundreds of thousands of votes. But I’ll tell you it’s going to have a big impact on Tuesday if you guys don’t get this thing straightened out fast

Trump is ultimate RINO

"Trump World" is no joke — and it wants to devour American democracy | Trump's inner circle really calls itself "Trump World" now. Don't laugh: It's a sign of growing power and strength

"rump World" is not a joke, if it ever really was. That's no longer the term exclusively applied to Donald Trump's orbit by media observers or political opponents. It's now how Trump World describes itself. "

It is a full blown fascist enterprise nothing less; all the boxes are checked. If we as people allow ourselves to be overrun by what is essentially a small clique controlling over a full third of the population it will take years and God knows what bloody trauma to rid ourselves of them.

The mainstream media better wake the fuck up to what's going on. I don't think many people understand just how much danger we are in. Everyone loves to laugh off trumps constant stream of lies but this has been a conscious, sinister, and willful effort to do exactly what happened when combined with the state "news" at fox. To confuse their content consumers to do irrational things. They convinced these people to amass guns, hate their neighbors, and even kill themselves through an apathetic pandemic response, all in the name of fealty.

I dont want to hear from the reps with the most outrageous hateful behavior, I want to hear from the moderate Republicans who sit back and watch all of this, then stamp their names on everything with glowing approval. Having a loose cannon wouldn't be a problem if it was duly rejected, but the conspiratorial actions by moderate Republicans and the blase mainstream media response to this drives the whole party.

Everyone laughs and says “What a dolt!”, to anyone who mentions comparisons to how Hitler came to power. Remember, the government that initially went after Hitler thought he was a done “loser” as well, until the cult following crowd built Hitler up into a “god” that would eventually put the monster in power. Anyone who doesn’t see Trump, certain Congressmen, and others like Bannon and company, along the Trump worshipping media, as an existential threat are fooling themselves. They are pushing to make history repeat itself. Ideally, some of these weak-kneed cowardly Congressional Republicans would wake up and take their stand NOW, to head this off. If they don’t, they may well see their children and grandchildren suffer in the upcoming civil war that will have to take place if the head of the snake of Trump World is not cut off NOW.

Trump Sounds Pretty Panicked About Congress Finding Out Exactly What He Was Up to on January 6

"As you’ve no doubt heard by now, Donald Trump is extremely unhappy about the work being performed by the House committee investigating the January 6 attack on the Capitol, presumably because he knows that what they find will make him look even worse than he already does, which is saying a lot given he already looks like a guy who tried to overthrow the government because his parents never hugged him as a child. Unfortunately for Trump, Joe Biden thinks it’s actually very important for Congress to have access to the information it has requested concerning the days surrounding the insurrection, and earlier this month rejected his predecessor’s claim of executive privilege over the documents in question. So now, instead of letting the investigation unfold like an innocent person with nothing to hide would, Trump has instead sicced his lawyers on the government."

The virtue of accountability is a myth. Every head honcho of this or that S&P-bullshit company will tell you or has written a book on leadership that spells out how important it is to take responsibility for your actions; learn from your mistakes. Blah. Blah. Blah. But the minute - the very second - those same companies and “leaders” are accused of stiffing workers, cheating consumers or poising the environment all you hear is “wasn’t me.”

Accountability is a pair of handcuffs that rich-ass fucks use to keep less fortunate people in their place. Accountability is the cudgel the elites use to beat life sentences out of people who shoplift. It’s the tightening noose of fines, fees, tickets and bureaucratic red-tape they use to strangle low income families and communities out of institutional wealth. Accountability as a myth is a weapon.

Vanity Fair have run this exact article about every single Trump scandal, as if the populace gives a shit.

If there's actual video of him dressed as the Qanon shaman and beating a police officer to death, 95% of Republicans would still vote for him. They literally didn't care when he said he liked to sexually assault women. They couldn't give a fuck when he told a Gold Star family to go fuck themselves. America needs to stop acting like Trump is the problem, the selfish assholes people voting for him are.

Liz Cheney: Bannon refusal to cooperate suggests Trump was 'personally involved' in the planning riot

"Republican Rep. Liz Cheney blasted former President Donald Trump's ally Steve Bannon for refusing to cooperate with the House committee investigating the January 6 riot, saying that his claim of executive privilege is not only invalid, but suggests Trump was "personally involved" in the planning and execution of the events that day."

Donald Trump always places himself as an innocent victim.

If he is so innocent, what is he afraid of?

Why is he so afraid of the truth?

Does Trump have something to hide? For example, the fact that he is the worst president in U.S. history who constantly attacks democracy and promoted the January 6, 2021 coup on Capitol Hill.

Trump's supporters need to open their eyes to the danger Trump poses to America.

It also sounds like the House should refer this over to the FBI to go after all the high level criminals like Trump and Co involved. The FBI Director is a Republican who needs to be fired. I don't understand how one can carryout an interstate massive criminal conspiracy involving thousands of people and the leaders of such organizing not face the full force of FBI charges and investigation (Trump, Banon, etc). Yet BLM protesters who break a car window are facing 7 years from the same FBI.

Why does congress have less power than a lowly common court to investigate crimes? If you were subpoenaed as a witness in a civil trial and simply refused to appear, the judge would make some reasonable attempts to get your appearance. Eventually, they'd issue an arrest warrant for the sheriff to kick down your door, put you in handcuffs, throw you in jail, hold you until the time for witnesses to appear at trial for months and make you take the stand. Seems very odd, sounds like Dems need to update the laws.

Cheney: Bannon's actions suggest Trump was involved in Capitol riot 'planning and execution'

"Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) said late Tuesday that former White House strategist Stephen Bannon’s refusal to cooperate with the House committee investigating the Capitol riot suggests former President Trump was "personally involved in the planning and execution of January 6th.""

After the Joe rogan interview with the guy who did a qanon documentary it’s pretty clear that Rudy at the very least needs a major investigation into his actions and connections with qanon. The dude who probably started qanon is now an advisor for the audit the election Trump thing. How a random dude from a different country becomes a advisor to the president of the US is sketchy af.

Stop and think about what government really is.

Government is a necessary evil and will always be about choosing the least evil policies in order to serve the greatest good.

Voting will always be about choosing between lesser evils. Always.

So don't get too upset that you don't have a utopia menu of people to pick from each election. Pick the people who are most qualified and capable of representing you in government.

Also until we get rid of first past the post you will only ever have two choices but there is hope that some day we will get rid of first past the post and there will be many political parties to choose from.

Steve Bannon not cooperating suggests Trump may have been 'personally involved in the planning and execution' of the January 6 insurrection, Liz Cheney says

"Former White House advisor Steve Bannon's refusal to cooperate with the investigation into the January 6 insurrection suggests that he and former President Donald Trump worked together to plan the day's actions, Rep. Liz Cheney said on Tuesday."

His deliberate refusal to comply raises lots of red flags like that's not suspicious at all.

It's a deliberate aesthetic. He is philosophically adverse to what he considers 'modernism' along with its material trappings such as suits and ties. It's a not so subtle way of communicating his anti establishment ideology to those paying attention.

Trump tells Republicans not to vote

For once I agree! Do not vote! Listen to your Master! Do Not Vote 2022 and 2024! For Love of God, Do Not Vote!

Trump Tells Republicans Not to Vote in 2022 or 2024

"In a new statement that he would have posted on Twitter himself if his account was not permanently suspended for inciting violence, former President Donald Trump urged his supporters not to vote in the two upcoming elections if the Republican Party does not “solve” the supposed voter fraud that he has falsely claimed precipitated his loss to President Joe Biden."

He is threatening the GOP. “Get behind me and my messaging or I will destroy you.”

Which is a battle they can't win. The courts are smacking this shit down left and right. There will be no fraud proven in the 2020 election which means it's a lose lose situation. Now is the time more than ever to run AWAY from Trumpism.

The issue is that despite there being no fraud republicans are being led to believe there really was. Minor discrepancies in vote counts are being blown out of proportion by conservative media in an effort to trick conservatives into believing that our elections are all rigged.

While I take delight in the sheer stupidity of this, this is his pretext to say the elections are not valid and then incite his army of morons to take up arms and forcibly take control of the government.

This country really need to do something about him before he incites an uprising. I think such an uprising could be quickly quelled if say, there is a specific protest or something and law enforcement takes action to arrest and detain anyone using violence ... Trump's followers will scatter like rats from a sinking ship once they realize there will be actual consequences for engaging in insurrection and rebellion.

Trump tells Republicans they should not vote in 2022 or 2024 without answers to 2020 'fraud'

"Former President Donald Trump on Wednesday issued a statement claiming "Republicans will not be voting in [2022] or [2024]" unless the "thoroughly and conclusively documented" presidential "election fraud of 2020" is investigated. He then goes on to call abstaining from voting "the single most important thing for Republicans to do." Quite the interesting call to action for a man reportedly readying his own 2024 campaign."

Keep that grift going. There have been audits of audits that were auditing the audits of the votes..None find all this enormous fraud. The GOP running the elections in disputed states say the elections were sound. Almost all his lawsuits were tossed in the crapper.

What needs to happen is this clown needs to be held accountable for his planning, paying for and directing an assault on the peaceful transfer of power. Getting real tired of even seeing his name in articles on here. Trump is by far the worst president in the history of the US his continued grifting and divisive lies have pushed him into the lead, past the slave owing presidents. I really cant tell if all GOP are this stupid or it the negative engagement algorithms making this shit pop up all the time, to keep people angry.

This is Trump flexing his muscles against Mitch McConnell and the Republican leadership. He's saying to them, "Fall in line or I torch the party for the foreseeable future." Trump has no loyalty to the Republican party. To Trump, all loyalty is a one-way street (one-way to him). But McConnell is all about expanding the strength of the GOP. It's pretty much the only thing he cares about.

Trump is a wannabe mob boss: "It'd be a shame if your party caught on fire, Mitch."

Trump is building a parallel “system” of election verification peopled with his cronies. A phony report about election fraud coupled with trumped up “evidence” from voting contests that he himself organizes could represent a political pathway to a coup. Don’t tell me the current Republican party wouldn’t go right along with this.

Trump Says Republicans Won't Vote in Midterms, 2024 Election if 2020 Fraud Isn't 'Solved'

"Former President Donald Trump believes Republicans will sit out the 2022 midterms and the 2024 presidential election, of which he may be a contender, if the fraud he believes occurred during the 2020 election isn't "solved."

Trump has been pushing that he rightfully won the 2020 presidential election since the race was called for Biden and has been critical of legislators and judges who don't back the belief as well. He has yet to prove widespread fraud occurred that would have changed the outcome of the election and on Wednesday, he railed against a Georgia judge who dismissed a fraud suit.

In a statement, Trump denied that little evidence has been produced to prove he's the rightful winner of the presidential election, saying that they've "thoroughly and conclusively documented" it. He added that Republicans will withhold their votes in 2022 and 2024 if the election fraud isn't "solved." He added it is the "single most important thing for Republicans to do.""

He would rather see it burned to the ground than admit defeat or even admit he was wrong. That’s why he’s such a darling to a lot of the right.

It's a twisted game of liars chess. If they boycott, they can say the winner was elected only by the opposing party. Therefore, it's a conspiracy/not a democratically elected mandate/Democrats are just as bad/worse. It opens up a whole new front for propaganda and misinformation to take hold and obfuscate the original crimes.

It's the same strategy he used throughout his presidency: when things get hot or he's losing the limelight he fashions a new crisis to divert attention back to him. He's betting he can stoke the backlash to a victory in 24'. Every move he makes is about regaining/defending his claim to power.

My interpretation is that Trump doesn’t really give a shit about the country OR the GOP, so he has nothing to lose by inadvertently blowing them up in the next election, but everything to gain if the delusional, long-shot attempt at getting him back into power somehow actually works.

But yeah, assuming he DOES get his followers to abstain from voting he’ll undoubtedly do the same thing he did in 2020, where he told them all not to vote by mail then tried to pretend the mail-in votes were all “thrown into a River” or something.

Trump this and Trump that

Not a day goes by that we can read what former US President Donald Trump tried to do while holding office:

NOT A JOKE: TRUMP WAS GOING TO APPOINT IVANKA PRESIDENT OF THE WORLD BANK UNTIL STEVEN MNUCHIN INTERVENED

"Back in 2019, as only the patriarch of the world’s most delusional family could, Donald Trump told The Atlantic about all the jobs that he’d wanted to give his daughter Ivanka, ones for which she wasn’t even qualified to do an unpaid internship. Ambassador to the United Nations? Ivanka “would’ve been great,” just “incredible” at the job, Trump explained to reporter Elaina Plott. “I even thought of Ivanka for the World Bank,” he added. “She would’ve been great at that because she’s very good with numbers. She’s got a great calmness...I’ve seen her under tremendous stress and pressure. She reacts very well—that’s usually a genetic thing, but it’s one of those things, nevertheless. She’s got a tremendous presence when she walks into the room.”"

Remember that cringeworthy video where Ivanka awkwardly tried to join a conversation that IMF Chair Christine LaGarde, Angela Merkel, Theresa May, and Emmanuel Macron were having at the G20? And they all just sort of uncomfortably nodded as she spoke and looked annoyed at having to talk to someone who had no idea what they were saying? Lagarde in particular was giving her a lot of side eye.

The IMF head and the World Bank President often work closely together. Imagine how a trained professional like LaGarde would feel having to talk to Ivanka.

It’s worse than you think. It’s not like she had a bad take on international monetary policy, she doesn’t fully comprehend the words she uses.

Ivanka is his daughter. He has remarked how good looking she is and if she were not his daughter, he would indeed tap.

Honestly, with a guy with such low impulse control and a clear desire to bone his daughter, I'd be more shocked if he hasn't done it.

Google for "Trump Ivanka pictures". He posed with her in lovey dovey poses for romantic photos when she was, like, 12.

Coincidentally, he took her with him to Russia when she was about 12. Russia, known for rigging hotel rooms with cameras. There's speculation that the "pee tape" may actually be the "P[edo] tape".

Trump Wanted to 'Stay in Power Forever' Like Putin, Says His Ex-National Security Adviser

"Aformer top national security adviser to Donald Trump said the ex-president admired Russia's Vladimir Putin and wanted to "stay in power forever" like the strongman leader.

"He saw Putin as the kind of epitome of the badass populist, frankly, you know, the kind of person that he wanted to be: super-rich, super powerful, no checks and balances, and essentially being able to stay in power forever," Fiona Hill, who previously served as senior director for Europe and Russia on Trump's National Security Council, told Molly Jong-Fast of The Daily Beast on an episode of The New Abnormal podcast uploaded on Sunday.

Trump's affinity for Putin has long been criticized, as the former president often appeared to be publicly defensive of the authoritarian Russian president before and during his tenure in the White House."

I can’t wrap my head around Trump supporters thinking this will be good for them or the country/world. Trump somehow becoming president for life, that will not play out well for anyone other than himself and his kids.

Trump's presidency was 100% about himself. All his trips to Mar-a-lago on the taxpayer's dime, his nakedly self serving attempts to get the G7 summit at his resort. Trump is a freaking con man who has only ever acted in his own self interest. He doesn't give a shit about the people who voted for him. He would have turned them away from his fancy resorts and hotels as not good enough.

But they've all deluded themselves into believing Trump did anything for them. Not much has changed for me under Trump, or under Biden. But these people have convinced themselves that he changed the world and made it better, even if their own lives went from same to same.

Which absolutely makes no sense if you’re working or middle class. Trump’s policies were absolutely hammering the average Joe. The only ones profiting from a Trump administration was Trump, his family, cronies, and billionaires sucking up to him.

t actually makes total sense once you understand that his purpose was to rally the far-right to finally remove any evidence of liberal or social programs. Sure, many of the average Joe's voted for him ignorantly thinking that he would bring jobs, etc. But the big money people lobbied for him because he represents a long line of capitalists, industrialists, dictators and gangsters who want to do away with environmental protections, labor protections, civil rights, universal Healthcare, etc. They want to destroy socialism and establish the true free market capitalism in the worst way.

And they all think he's going to lift the lot of the Average Joe in the process. In their white minds, there would be more jobs available for white men if women stayed home, if we limited immigration, if we got rid of discrimination protections, if we let rich white business leaders drive the economy unfettered by social and environmental concerns. More women would stay home if their husband could provide for them, while also eliminating the need for abortion rights. By shrinking government, people would be forced to rely on the church for social welfare, driving more people into the flock. Peace would be restored because law enforcement would have much more freedom to rough people up, instilling fear in the poor, the black and native American population, and LGBTQIA folks. The country was interpreted as a white Christian utopia. They had no problem codifying their racism with territorial land grants, giving early white settlers free reign to kill, rape, abuse native Americans and black people. They had no problem stripping the Japanese of their property. It can happen again and Trump is the best chance they have to ensure that they dominate.

Biden declines Trump request to withhold White House records from Jan. 6 committee

"WASHINGTON — The White House on Friday formally blocked an attempt by former President Donald Trump to withhold documents from Congress related to the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol, setting up a legal showdown between the current and former presidents over executive privilege.

In a letter to the National Archives obtained by NBC News, White House Counsel Dana Remus rejected an attempt by Trump’s attorneys to withhold documents requested by the House Select Committee regarding the then-president’s activities on Jan. 6, writing that “President Biden has determined that an assertion of executive privilege is not in the best interests of the United States, and therefore is not justified as to any of the documents.”"

For anyone confused or unsure, here's a few pieces of information that are relevant.

  1. Executive privilege is not in the Constitution, nor is it laid out anywhere else legally except in a single SCOTUS ruling.
  2. It only applies to stuff within the executive. Individuals who are not within the executive don't apply here (e.g. Bannon, Insurrectionists, etc who are not in communication with the executive).
  3. It definitely does not apply to individuals in the Legislative branch who communicated with the Executive branch, e.g. texts between Congresspersons who aided and abetted.
  4. It absolutely fucking does not apply if the requested documents and testimony are "essential to the justice of the case." (This is the precise text of the SCOTUS ruling.)

On Point #4, if Congress is investigating Trump's involvement with an attempted coup, then Trump's correspondence by its very nature is required for justice to prevail here.
