Trump is on a roll

Trump May Be About To Learn That Being Ex-President Doesn’t Carry Much Weight In Court

"Trump, who tried to overthrow American democracy to remain in power despite losing the 2020 election, faces a federal court hearing Thursday on his request to block the National Archives from handing over hundreds of pages of documents from him and his White House staff regarding his actions leading up to and on the day of the assault on the U.S. Capitol."

People should read this thread. It explains in detail why Trump is gonna lose this very badly and very soon:

And not to mention: https://cdn.factcheck.org/UploadedFiles/Johnson_TrumpEpstein_Lawsuit.pdf

"Plaintiff was subject to acts of rape, sexual misconduct, criminal sexual acts, sexual abuse, forcible touching, assault, battery, intentional and reckless infliction of emotional distress, duress, false imprisonment, and threats of death and/or serious bodily injury by the Defendants that took place at several parties during the summer months of 1994."

Who are the Defendants? Donald J. Trump and Jeffrey E. Epstein.

Plaintiff is missing.

TRUMP’S ODDS OF ESCAPING CRIMINAL CHARGES IN GEORGIA DO NOT LOOK GOOD

"One of the most infuriating qualities about former president Donald J. Trump is his habit of lying about everything all the time. Another is his total disregard for human life. But probably the number one most enraging thing about him is his lifelong habit of escaping any and all consequences for being what the U.S. penal code section 219(a)(5)(a) defines as “a corrupt motherfucker.” Whether it was attempting to extort Ukraine, lying to the public about COVID-19, reportedly not paying his bills, or allegedly raping a woman in a department store—which he of course denies—the man has somehow consistently avoided any and all repercussions, save for a financial settlement here and a financial settlement there. On the other hand, his luck on that front may be running out!"

Famously, Trump's ex-wife said he kept a copy of Hitler's speeches by the bed. Charming.

Also known to have made positive remarks about Hitler.

But totally not a Nazi. /s

Georgia official: Trump call to ‘find’ votes was a threat

"Donald Trump was threatening Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger when he asked him to help “find” enough votes to overturn his loss in Georgia to Democratic President Joe Biden, Raffensperger writes in a new book.

The book, “Integrity Counts,” was released Tuesday. In it, Raffensperger depicts a man who defied pressure from Trump to alter election results, but also reveals a public official settling political scores as he seeks to survive a hostile Republican primary environment and win reelection in 2022.

An engineer who grew wealthy before running for office, Raffensperger recounts in his book the struggle in Georgia that followed Biden’s narrow victory, including death threats texted to his wife, an encounter with men who he says may have been staking out his suburban Atlanta home, and being escorted out of the Georgia capitol on Jan. 6 as a handful of right-wing protesters entered the building on the same day many more protesters stormed the U.S. Capitol."

The GA state law on elections seems almost perfectly designed to make what Trump did illegal. He didn’t say “I believe I won by X number of votes, go find X number of votes, I want X number of votes to count!” Which, while indefensible for the President to say, is possibly more of a gray area.

Instead he said “I believe I won by X number of votes, but I only need you to find and write down Y number of votes.”

Asking someone to write down an election result you believe to be the wrong number is a felony in Georgia. If he thought the right number was Y votes, he can only ever ask for those votes to be found and counted. Since he said, literally on the same call, that he believed the number was Y but that he only needs X votes to win is clearly fraud.

Congrats Republicans, we found the election fraud in Georgia you were all so worried about.

This call was completely overshadowed by 1/6, and the call is so long that people usually only take away a few lines from it. I highly suggest everyone attempts to listen to it once, because the key quotes do not paint the full picture of how much Trump was threatening and pressuring an election official to overturn the results

I've tried to summarize it the best I can:

Trump: Hi Brad. It's pretty clear that we won. You can see it by rally size. We won. (suggests 2 conspiracies). An accurate number is coming out. The number is large. We will have it for you. It's much larger than the margin I lost by. You agree right? Everyone agrees.

We'll get you a number. (conspiracy theory) It's very sad. (conspiracy theory) (conspiracy theory)

(conspiracy theory) (conspiracy theory)

(four more conspiracy theories)

(10 more conspiracy theories)

I saw you on television today, Brad, and you said you found nothing wrong. You know, and I know, I didn't lose. People are saying it was the highest vote ever. There was no way. We won everything.

(more conspiracies - it's seriously hard to count) I won, by a lot.

Other states will be flipping to us shortly. (conspiracies about PA and MI)

And so we won. Easily. All the conspiratorial evidence is coming.

(Meadows pathetically attempts to babysit)

(Raffensperger defends himself)

Trump: We have a big issue with Dominion in your state. We haven't felt we needed to go there, but maybe we do. We won the state. So we could go through an investigation into voting machines in your state.

I think I won by half a million votes. (more conspiracies) You could tell by our rallies that we won. Brad, you know we won. The people of Georgia are angry. The people of the country are angry. We won.

(More back and forth)

(More conspiracies) The evidence for conspiracies is coming out. We won.

Brad, you don't have an accurate election. Not even close. Why don't you want to find the accurate numbers?

You got outsmarted at every step. I don't know what's going to happen Monday or Tuesday, but it's very scary to people. It's a disaster. They are laughing at you behind your back, Brad. They are laughing at you.

It's illegal, and they are going to find it out. It's a criminal offense, and that's a big risk to you.

So look. All i want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes.

I have to get. I have to find 12,000 votes. I won the state. You said there was no criminality, and it's very dangerous for you to say that. Why won't you find them?

So what are we going to do here, folks? I only need 11,000 votes. Fellas, I need 11,000 votes. But, but I’m just curious, why wouldn’t, why do you keep fighting this thing? It just doesn’t make sense. We’re way over the 17,779, right? We’re way over that number. Your lawyer doesn't know anything.

I've been watching you, and you don't care about anything. You are wrong. You and your governor are wrong. The governor is a schmuck. People are angry in Georgia.

Well, under law, you’re not allowed to give faulty election results, okay? You’re not allowed to do that. And that’s what you done. This is a faulty election result. And honestly, this should go very fast. You should meet tomorrow because you have a big election coming up, and because of what you’ve done to the president — you know, the people of Georgia know that this was a scam — and because of what you’ve done to the president, a lot of people aren’t going out to vote. And a lot of Republicans are going to vote negative because they hate what you did to the president. Okay? They hate it. And they’re going to vote. And you would be respected. Really respected, if this thing could be straightened out before the election. You have a big election coming up on Tuesday. And I think that it is really is important that you meet tomorrow and work out on these numbers. Because I know, Brad, that if you think we’re right, I think you’re going to say, and I’m not looking to blame anybody, I’m just saying, you know, and, you know, under new counts, and under new views, of the election results, we won the election. You know? It’s very simple. We won the election. As the governors of major states and the surrounding states said, there is no way you lost Georgia. As the Georgia politicians say, there is no way you lost Georgia. Nobody. Everyone knows I won it by hundreds of thousands of votes. But I’ll tell you it’s going to have a big impact on Tuesday if you guys don’t get this thing straightened out fast
