GOP's Red Wave turned in to trickle down

Americans take a stand for decency as the GOP red wave turns to dust, surprising all of us

Let’s cut to the chase: The ebullient Republicans who marched into Tuesday’s midterm elections smugly confident they would surf to power on a mighty, nation-sweeping red wave were left high and dry. Why? I’d argue it’s a testament to Americans’ distaste for indecency.

This is a nice way to look at the situation. Another factor might’ve been that the GOP offered nothing whatsoever in terms of solutions to inflation et al. Going to war against “wokeness” is all they seem to talk about, but that’s not gonna feed anyone’s family.

Their solution was gutting social security and medicare

Can never understand why the working class would vote Republican. They are the LAST people who would help you.

A predicted ‘red wave’ crashed into wall of abortion rights support on Tuesday

A surge in turnout among people motivated by the erosion of abortion rights carried Democrats to victory in races for governor, Senate, attorney general and state legislatures — defying predictions that the issue had faded for voters in the months since the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.

Average Americans simply don’t want theocracy. Religious fundies probably won’t accept this and push forward, and wonder why they keep losing popular votes.

Roe, roe, roe your boat gently down this blue wave.
