Donald Trump 'Caught in Repeated Lies' During Deposition—Attorney
Donald Trump may have severely damaged his case in the defamation lawsuit brought against him by a woman who accused him of rape by expressing "repeated lies" during his deposition, according to an attorney.
The parts of that deposition that were released really illustrate not just how despicable Trump is, but how feeble his mind has gotten. Ranting and raving about the election, the investigations into him as POTUS, name dropping Biden, etc. - in a civil case that has nothing to do with any of that. That guy is a sociopath with an absolutely broken brain. That in itself makes the fact that he was POTUS terrifying, even if we knew nothing else about all the lying and cruel and dangerous stuff he actually did.
I think there was only one time he actually said "what does that have to do with this case?", but in all other cases, he took the bait and just rambled in circles with all his greatest hits. Seeing it in writing also drew extra attention to the fact that he often repeated the same sentence, almost verbatim, 2-3 times in several of his answers.
None of this is surprising or new, but I found it interesting that he still threw out the same lying word-vomit in this deposition as he would at one of his safe-space rallies. This is why I can't help but question the sanity of anyone who thinks this motherfucker is sharp and/or smart.
Former President Donald Trump claimed that E. Jean Carroll, who has accused him of sexual assault, said that "rape was sexy" and "indicated that she loved it" when he was deposed in connection to her defamation lawsuit in October.
Judge Lewis A. Kaplan unsealed a portion of Trump's deposition on Friday after his lawyers lost a bid to keep them private.
"She actually indicated that she loved it. Okay? She loved it until the commercial break. In fact, I think she said it was sexy, didn't she? She said it was very sexy to be raped," Trump said.
Carroll's attorney Roberta Kaplan then asked the former president: "So, sir, I just want to confirm: It's your testimony that E. Jean Carroll said that she loved being sexually assaulted by you?"
He responded: "Well, based on her interview with Anderson Cooper, I believe that's what took place."
This is why he's mentally unfit.
Even before he took office, Donald Trump is pathologically incapable of not lying.
He doesn't lie like a psycopath like DeSantis would; strategically, for their own personal gain.
He lies uncontrollably. Many, many lawyers have tried to coach him on giving sworn testimony. There are plenty of ways to skate around the truth, to obfuscate it and work around perjury laws.
Donald Trump can't do it. He can't do it to save his own life. He is deeply, deeply damaged. His narcissism is so profound he lives beyond delusion. He lives in a world where if he says it, it must be true. He can't fathom an alternative. He literally can't.
