Trump is sure bet to losing money

Republicans Are Losing Money Because of Trump

Six top GOP donors stopped giving money to the Michigan or Arizona Republican parties because of their perceived support for the discredited claim that the 2020 presidential election was rigged against Donald Trump, according to a new report.

One former Michigan donor, real estate tycoon Ron Weiser, told Reuters it is "ludicrous" to claim Trump won the state in 2020, as supporters of the former president are continuing to do.

The USA lost money because of Trump. The Trump Foundation lost money because of Trump. Trump's hotels and shitty golf courses lost money because of Trump. Shit, even bottled water - a nearly free product requiring minimal effort to sell - lost money because of Trump.

This guy lost money selling steaks to Americans...

Think the GOP will recognize the reality of the situation? Don't hold your breath.

Between 1985 and 1994 trump single-handedly destroyed wealth amounting to 1.700.000.000 USD.

Adjusted for inflation that’s pretty much a worldwide record. No other human has ever destroyed so much of private wealth. Some other actors come close but these are usually dictators and warlords where it is difficult to differentiate between private and state wealth and some ponzi scheme stuff comes too (the irony).

I’m pretty sure trump will go into the history books as the worst business man to have lived in the 20th century, perhaps eben the post modern era as a whole.

Students lost money because of Trump.

Trump's airline went belly up too. He is such a stable genius.

USFL was pretty popular at the time because it was played in the off-season. It would be a perpetual money maker for him because fans always wanted more football.

His decision? Lets make it compete with the NFL. Brain dead. The guy hasnt made the right business decision in his life.

That's fine. GOP decided to ride that train, despite all evidence that the end of the line was at the bottom of a cliff. I have no sympathy for any of them.

The crazy thing is they had so many off-ramps. Jan 6th especially - the rest of the GOP could have cut ties with Trump then and there and no one would have blamed them. Sure, the die-hard cult would be upset but those people are insane anyway. The GOP should give up on the cult and start trying to build a bigger base. They should moderate their extreme fringe positions and move to the center-right, but they can't because most of the Democratic party occupies that position. So they keep moving right to run away from them, and now the Rs are just slightly to the left of that guy in Germany that off'd himself in his bunker. Trump himself might not even be to the left of that.

That said, I suspect that if Trump wins the nomination (as seems increasingly likely each day) and loses in 2024, then you may finally see a shift in the GOP. They don't care about the morality of what Trump has done or plans to do, but if he loses twice in a row, he's not useful to them anymore. They won't care as much about alienating his base if that base can't win elections anyway. Additionally, Trump would be 81 in 2028 so I can't imagine he would be in fighting form (assuming he even makes it that long). Even on the campaign trail now he sounds like a shadow of his 2016 self. Guess that battery has finally run out.
